We stayed at Brighton for 5 nights and the accommodation was great. We had the 2 single bedroom and it was massive room compare to Tokyo. The staff were all wonderful and very helpful. There was a shuttle bus every 20 minutes to take you to the train station and back. The only negative thing I have to say about...

It is lovely hotel, it is close to headquarters of the major. The rooms are good looking under japanese elegance and kyoto aesthetics - lots of wood and neutral colours. its restaurant served good food. The breakfast buffet, lunch and dinner are quite delicious, but little bit expensive. What you enjoy here. The rooms are amazingly well kept and the...

This hotel provides an authentic Japanese experience. Its situated a bit outside the city center - which is really great feature and not a bug. There is a very frequent hotel shuttle service that goes to the city center - its super convenient and free. Rooms are pretty spacious. Service is excellent. Room service is great.

Modern and clean hotel. Staff very helpful and accommodating. About 15 min walk from centre shops/restaurants but has a punctual shuttle bus that can take you there. Located opposite imperial gardens. Breakfast was a choice of Japanese or continental. We had a large room with 4 beds to accomodate our whole family.

Very nice hotel feels like a 5 star hotel. With good size rooms. Very helpful staff. Very close to Imperial Palace but far from rest of the attractions. Station is also 15- 20 min by car, Not much places to eat around the hotel. Also not much activity around the hotel.

Really excellent service. It's a good hotel although it is slightly out of the city. So really depends on what you want out of your visit. They do have a courtesy shuttle bus which is useful. I would consider staying in this hotel again if I'm ever lucky enough to visit Kyoto again.

Wonderful boutique style hotel with impeccable service. Daily breakfast buffet was delicious with western and Japanese choices. Rooms are spacious and the bathrooms are top notch with plenty of amenities, robes and slippers. I would recommend this hotel with 5 stars.

Kyoto was the second place we visited during our travels, after staying in Tokyo for a week prior and when we finally found this place, it looked amazing, it's very close to the old Imperial Palace...which was how we found it really and we saw our room and we loved it...I've never had a writing desk in a hotel room...

A very good standard business hotel with a good selection of restaurants. The service is excellent and the room comfortable and quiet. Staff are very helpful. Unfortunately there is no gym but an agreement with a fitness centre nearby.

Staying in Nishijin District

Neighborhood Profile
Nishijin District
A district with a long textile heritage, ancient Kyoto is still alive in the Nishijin District. Studded with its weaving factories, tea houses, and onsen, the neighborhood is charming and peaceful with a self-possessed air. Less traveled than other parts of the city, it is a district where you can take it at your own pace. Visitors can explore the many weaving and cloth houses, the free kimono shows, and the many shops selling traditional clothing and goods. Showcasing architecture with sloping roofs and wooden reliefs dating to decades past, the streets in the Nishijin District transport you back in time, making them a joy to wander.
