Stayed in a non-smoking Moderate twin room. Such a pity to have seen negative reviews but i had a good stay, but it was expensive. - Good customer svc - Accessible; Short walk to bus / train station - Clean & spacious room - Comfortable bed However, - Pillow was too soft for my liking but managed to get an...

We moved from a hotel in Gion to Hotel New Hankyu Kyoto for 1 day and were using the JR for that day, before travelling to Atami the following morning. So it was very convenient and a super time saver. There were a lot of good food options across the road and a great mall. So it had all the...

Extremely overpriced with old furniture, dated decoration and the overpowering stench of cigarette smoke. Do not stay in this hotel. So dated there is actually an old AM/FM radio built into the headboard, this is straight out of the '80,s along with everything else in the room, including the single flat, out of shape pillow supplied on each twin bed....

It's conveniently located right across the Kyoto station where most trains and buses depart going to many points of interests in and around and outside Kyoto. And given the location, the price is reasonable. Service is pretty decent - as one would expect from Japanese. They could improve on their cleaning and turndown services thought - but nothing that would...

An absolutely wonderful hotel. Staff were top notch. I will stay here again. Rooms were very clean and well equipped. Beds were most comfortable I've slept in since leaving home. If you're staying in Kyoto, make sure it's here. You will not be disappointed.

The hotel is right in front of the Kyoto train station. 5 minutes away from the Shinkansen linesa and tons of restaurants and shops in the train station building. The checkin went smoothly since most of the employees speak scholar English. We were given a room on the 9th floor, which was extremely noisy, probably due to the proximity of...

This hotel is conveniently situated opposite the main shopping mall and railway station at Kyoto. You are therefore well placed for local amenities and for transport links to tourist attractions and nearby cities. Of note is that the Kyoto tower is about 2 minutes’ walk away. There is also a Briitish pub about 3 minutes away if you are needing...

This hotel was fabulous! Location was perfect directly across from the JR station. Room had great finishings and was good sized for Japan. Clean, and we'll appointed, staff spoke English and was very friendly and helpful. Everything you could ask for and very reasonable price. I'd recommend and would return. Coffee shops and convenience stores nearby as well. Safe area...

Very nice hotel close to Kyoto station - important to those who continue their trip or arriving by train, but a bit far from Gyon. Rooms are small as in almost every hotel in Japan. Everything else was great. Very clean room, nice bathroom. Service desk is also helping and very polite. Check-in and check-out was very fast. They also...

Kyoto is a city full of magnificent attractions, but that usually means that the value you get for your hotel price goes down. I paid nearly $200 for a tiny room that was barely bigger than the bed. All was clean and neat, but it was certainly not a room you wanted to spend much time in. The staff was...
