Located within the Kyoto station, it is convenient to go anywhere in Kyoto. The service is good and the facility is simple, clean and just good. It is a great place for business for sure but if you are after some Japanese taste on your holiday, then there are plenty of other choices in Kyoto; one of the most popular... More

We chose this hotel because it is conveniently located at the Kyoto station. We took day trips to Kobe, Nara, Osaka and throughout Kyoto so the train station was a logical choice for us. The rooms are small but most of the noise from the train station was blocked. Why is there a big window in the bathroom that allows... More

I was there for a business trip in December, It was nice get out of the shinkansen, drop the luggage in the room, take a shower and get out of that station ready for a walk in kyoto... I had to take a bus to get to the touristic area but still it was fun. Getting back from tokyo was... More

Location is great! It's located right inside the station so it's very convenient. The service is wonderful as well. The only downside is that our room was a bit small (cozy); however everything was very tidy and clean. I will definitely book from this hotel again.

Of course it's convenient, right there in the station. But it was also a tad upscale for such a place, quiet in spite of the location, and while a tiny room, well appointed and clean. Breakfast in a small, crowded space was decent though with enough choices, including pickled vegetables, fish, rice and so forth.

Quiet, fully functional, tidy hotel room on the railway station with a direct view of the Shikansen trains leaving Kyoto. Buffet breakfast works well for Europeans. Wifi free. First hotel where I ever experienced two double windows to keep the station noise out. Lots of restaurants nearby and friendly help from the hotels concierges.

The location would've been perfect if the hotel provides guests with a cart or a free shuttle to cross to the bus stop so we don't have to carry luggage around a very busy intersection. Especially when you have children. Crossing the intersection and pushing your luggage plus watching the kids is a juggling act. Room is okay size for... More

We booked this hotel online via a Japanese friend for its convenient location at the Kyoto station. But found out that location is actually not ideal for visiting the tourist attractions and there are other better hotels in terms of cleanliness and space. When we checked in, we found to our horror that our Japanese friend booked a smoking room... More

I like to use this hotel when I have to stay late in Kyoto. It couldn't be more convenient - right in Kyoto station, next to the Kintetsu tracks. The rooms are comfortable and pleasant to stay in (although this last time there was a distinct curry smell - a few minutes with the air conditioning took care of that,... More

This business hotel is very conveniently reached from the Kyoto Station without having to go outside. The lobby is bright and modern, if not fancy, and check- in was friendly and fast. I was given room 526, a twin room near the end of a long corridor and looking over the tracks. The room was rather small but efficiently done.... More

Staying in Southern Kyoto

Neighborhood Profile
Southern Kyoto
Southern Kyoto has a reserved air. Though the Fushimi Inari Shrine is one of Kyoto's major tourist attractions, the surrounding nature, parks, gardens, temples, and shrines provide less-visited spaces for strolling and reflection. The Fushimi Inari Shrine itself is made up of 32,000 sub-shrines, and the mountain they are dotted across beckons hikers, picnickers, and lovers of the outdoors. Many of the mountain's off-set paths aren't frequented by tourists, and the mountain's serenity can be enjoyed at a leisurely pace. Southern Kyoto is the place to enjoy being outside, and to pay your respects to the ancient architecture and gods of the land that are celebrated here.
