Excellent all round! Really convenient position approx 15 minute walk from Kyoto station. This is an apartment hotel and our room had a kitchen area attached to it which was really useful. The room was excellent, bright, modern, clean and quiet – it really added...More
To start, the foyer to this place is lovely. I appreciate a hotel that puts effort into the entrance - the first place guests see.
The staff were friendly and knowledgable, helped us bring our luggage to the room and advised us of top places...More
This is a good no-fills hotel. No restaurants in hotel. No gym. No pool. Carry your own bags to your room which I did not mind at all. Near subway stop. No far from Kyoto Station. Good size room. Clean. Would go back again if...More
We stayed at this property during our recent Christmas vacation travel to Tokyo and Kyoto. We chose it for its positive reviews by other travelers and the availability of in-room kitchen amenities. We were not disappointed by the Citadines! We had three rooms for our...More
We were travelling with our 3 kids aged 6,8,10. I booked early and asked the hotel to give us rooms that were connected by an entry corridor. There was then one external door to the lift area. We had rooms 1005 and 1006. The rooms...More

Shimogyo-ku is centered around the busy train hub, Kyoto Station. A nexus for commerce, shopping, dining, and hotels, the Shimogyo-ku area is infused with tourists and local business travelers, making it a competitive location for ever-new commercial structures. The shops and cafes here are chic and trendy, as a result, with many recognizable chains. Commuters flood the Shimogyo-ku area twice a day, and
with Kyoto Station itself being a modern mega-complex and an architectural marvel, this neighborhood is one of the most contemporary and energetic areas that the city has to offer. Buildings here look futuristic, and huge department stores, shopping arcades, and public meeting spaces provide every possible convenience. It is also nearly the only place in Kyoto where rooftop dining and socializing is available, completing its modern tone.
You may but a taxi will save you the hassle of dragging your suitcase up and down the subway's stairs. Taxi will cost you about 1000Y (In fact our taxi fare last September was only a minimum fare about 800Y)

It's a service apartment which can be rented out per day. The room has a small kitchenette with cooking facilities, appliances and crockery. The hotel offers breakfast only. However, they have several good dining options in walking distance to the hotel. There is a 7/11 across the street as well.
