This hotel was right opposite the Kyoto train station- the rooms were small compared with Australian size but my girlfriend and I managed - just. The breakfast was included in our rate which was both Western style as well as traditional Japanese.

This was conveniently located and directly across the street from Kyoto station. This made for easy drop off of luggage and pick up to leave to the train station. There are many shops and food to be found at Kyoto station. I wasn't a big fan of the free breakfast but hey it is free. All of Kyoto's popular attractions...

The hotel is located right in front of Kyoto Station. It is really convenient to get to anywhere from here. Lots of eateries and shops at the station. The room is clean and fully loaded with amenities. The staffs are friendly and helpful. Overall experience is excellent.

Highly recommend to those who like being close to transport. Literally at the doorstep of Kyoto station. It is also very close to the bus station where airport bus from Kansai arrives to. The rooms themselves are clean, a bit small but that's not unexpected for Japan. And free buffet style breakfast is included. Yumm!

I stayed for 2 nite at this hotel. Booked for 2 rooms with connecting doors. The rooms are enough for 2 person, very clean on bedrooms and restroom. Restaurant is quite small, you need to come earlier if you wont to wait for longer time. Overall is good

The hotel is located just a stone’s throw away from Kyoto’s Central Train and Bus Station, therefore, staying at this hotel means you will never get lost in Kyoto. Strategically located, right across the great Kyoto Station, this hotel is very easy to find. We had a nice room with a view to Kyoto Station. Room and bathroom were, again, spotlessly clean. Room size is very small, that it was hard for us to open our big suitcase. Bathroom was also very compact but functional. Bathroom amenities are standard...

We booked 2 double rooms for 2 nights. The rooms were quiet, clean and more than adequate. The breakfast buffet had a good variety of offerings, western (pastries, fruit and cereal) as well as rice soup with toppings. The dining space was quite crowded and the first morning many of the guest were obnoxiously pushy. The staff tried their best...

Staying in Southern Kyoto

Neighborhood Profile
Southern Kyoto
Southern Kyoto has a reserved air. Though the Fushimi Inari Shrine is one of Kyoto's major tourist attractions, the surrounding nature, parks, gardens, temples, and shrines provide less-visited spaces for strolling and reflection. The Fushimi Inari Shrine itself is made up of 32,000 sub-shrines, and the mountain they are dotted across beckons hikers, picnickers, and lovers of the outdoors. Many of the mountain's off-set paths aren't frequented by tourists, and the mountain's serenity can be enjoyed at a leisurely pace. Southern Kyoto is the place to enjoy being outside, and to pay your respects to the ancient architecture and gods of the land that are celebrated here.
