We stayed in a traditional Japanese style room for 2 adults and 2 kids. The rooms were nice and tastefully decorated but most of all the service staff's attention to detail was awesome! We loved the traditional wooden bath tub and the balcony to take in the crisp morning air. We were here only for 1 night and opted for a half board with kaiseki dinner and Japanese breakfast. Very recommended!

We loved our 3D2N stay at this hotel. Upon arrival, we were immediately warmly greeted by the staff and they offered us tea and snacks. The staff always made sure that our needs are met, and even went out of the way to print out brochures from nearby restaurants when we mentioned that we were not dining at their own restaurant. There was a guest lounge that provided free drinks (even free wine!) and snacks which we felt was a nice touch to our stay. We stayed in the traditional ryokan style room (64sqm) and it was just right for a family of 4. The room was impeccably clean and comfortable. They also provided a lot of amenities, from shampoo to face masks! The hotel is extremely meticulous, even going as far as to place all 4 of our toothbrushes in the same exact order and angle!! This Japanese hospitality really impressed us. Our stay has breakfast included as well. The food was delicious (really love the roasted seaweed and the MELON!!). The arrangement of every dish was carefully planned and is of high quality, making for a delightful meal. We paid for the private hot tub and it was worth the money! Overall, one of the highlights of our trip in Japan would be the stay in this hotel and we have nothing bad to say about it. Will highly recommend anyone to stay here if visiting Kyoto!

Fantastic location, for Kyoto. A real highlight of our two weeks in Japan. The hotel is in the middle of the main historic sights but is an oasis of calm. The Kaiseki set menu in the evenings was amazing and incredible value for money, I highly recommend trying the local beers and sake. Very modern and clean take on a traditional hotel, but without changing the character or style of the old town.

I just love how it is located right behind the main area, and in a very quiet neighbourhood. Everything is within 15 mins walk. The semi Outdoor bath is nice and relaxing. The lounge service is good. I could feel the breakfast is prepared with love and care. How touching it is!

If I could give this hotel 10 stars, I would. From the moment we stepped onto the property, we were treated like rock stars. This is a new hotel so it was hard to find for the taxi driver from Kyoto Train Station. It is situated on a side street but still a great location to walk to different attractions (Gion district, temples, etc). The service here is impeccable! The staff wait on you from start to finish. The rooms are very spacious with a comfortable bed and great amenities (robes, tatamis, slippers, socks, coffee, tea, water). The private onsen is a plus and very relaxing. The breakfast was excellent! Overall, this hotel is excellent!
