Guests can enjoy Japanese cuisine with a touch of French-style cuisine at on-site restaurant. All rooms have facilities and amenities for a pleasant stay. Some rooms boast of the view of Kamogawa. Also guests can see the view of the private courtyard in several rooms. Our hotel is a 13-minute train ride from Kyoto Station. Samurai Kembu Kyoto is a 7-minute walk from the hotel. Kiyomizudera Temple is a 15-minute drive away. Kyoto International Manga Museum is an 8-minute train ride from the hotel via Tozai Line. This was one of the most beautiful rooms we’ve ever stayed in! We got a garden view (not sure if all rooms have this view) and the whole room looked out on their indoor wall garden. Breakfast buffet is most definitely worth it- tons of Japanese and western options. Breakfast staff didn’t speak much English but it was no problem at all and the front desk staff spoke some to help answer any questions. Would 100% stay here again!

The hotel was centrally located close to the Kyoto Shiyakusho-mae Station. Everything was shiny new and in great condition. A lot of thought had been put in making the room look pleasing, and we liked how they made an inside wall garden that the room looked out to through the bathroom windows. The toilet stall was separated from the bathroom which was great for two people to use the facilities at once, though I with there was soap in the toilet. The room contained a large TV screen, zojirushi thermos kettle, an actual teapot, "indoor" clothes and pyjamas, and complimentary water and soft drinks in the fridge. There were a variety of disposable items such as razor, bath salts, hair brushes, toothbrush, etc... Toiletries were from Laura Ashley, in big size bottles. There was a deep tub with a separate shower. We paid for the breakfast buffet which was excellent, though I think the area may get overwhelmed if the hotel is full. In offpeak season in February, at the height of the coronavirus scare, the hotel seemed very under occupied. Overall the hotel was very charming, and for a 3 star hotel, felt very luxurious.…

We where there for part of our honeymoon. Rooms are small but clean and comfortable. Breakfast is included in the price and it is above average they have options for Asian or western food, we tried both and they are both nice. Location is amazing it is very easy to move around the area. The staff is incredibly nice and helpful!

We stayed at the Solaria Nishitetsu hotel for our 4-day trip to Kyoto. We chose this hotel because of its location on the river, and its proximity to the Sanjo metro station (which has a connection to the Keihan railway allowing direct access to Inari in order to visit the Fushimi Inari shrine). In addition, the hotel is located near the entrance to the subway at Kyoto City Hall, which places the hotel pretty much at the intersection of the two subway lines in Kyoto, which makes getting around really easy (using your ICOCA or SUICA card, of course). The hotel was well appointed and had everything we could have needed (including bathrobes and pyjamas, kettle that 'sang' when it boiled, and our first experience of a wonderful Japanese toilet - why on earth don't we have these in the UK???). Our room was at the side of the hotel which gave us a view over Sanjo-dori towards the bridge over the Kamo-gawa river. We didn't eat at the hotel so can't comment on breakfast, but if it was anything like the attention and service from the reception staff, then we may have made a mistake by not eating in! I cannot praise the ladies and gentlemen on reception highly enough - even though they don't speak fluent English, they were unfailingly welcoming and helpful. Everything we needed to do (like forwarding luggage to our next hotel) was handled without any problem and with the utmost courtesy. I would go back tomorrow - if only our finances would allow!…

We are located in the down town of Kyoto City, and it is easy to go to some shrines, temples and restaurants. There are some public transfer services like Kyoto City Bus, Kyoto City Subway and Keihan Trail. Also there are one of the most famous street named Pontocho-dori within 5-10 minutes walk. Once you walk around the Pontocho-dori, you will feel the atmosphere of old Kyoto. In addition, we are located next to the Kamo river and some room types are facing the Kamo river. You can feel the changing of the four seasons from river side room. The Japanese toilet system like washlet has very good reputation from many guests especially foreign guests. Also thank you for your prize to our staff. I became happy to hear the prize form you. We will keep on trying for all guests to feel satisfaction. Thank you for your comments on the internet. My brother and I stayed here for 2 nights in January 2020. We stayed in a corner twin room on the 4th floor. Check in was smooth and efficient. This hotel is one of Kyoto’s newer hotels and definitely on the higher end of the the spectrum. Im a big fan of the Solaria Nishitetsu hotel brand having stayed at other properties throughout Japan previously. This is the brand’s first luxury hotel. The room was modern with some traditional Japanese elements thrown. The beds were amongst the best Ive slept on in Japan. The mattress and pillows were nice and soft but firm enough for a good nights sleep. Bathroom was the typical Japanese hotel setup of one room split between a shower area and a deep bathtub. Water drains through the floor. Corner room came with a large couch and coffee table. The hotel is located on the Western shore of the Kamogawa river. It s located in a prime area of Kyoto near plenty of shopping and dining options. The Kyoto subway has a station right outside the hotel. For those traveling to this hotel by train take the subway from Kyoto station. The hotel is located by the Kyoto City hall subway station which is one stop east of Karasuma Oike station. For those interested there is a Japanese bath (onsen) locate don the bottom floor of the hotel that is open most of the day. Never went there so I cant rate that. Highly recommend this hotel to those looking for s high quality hotel in central Kyoto. The price for the corner twin was quite reasonable though we did visit during January which is definitely off peak season.…
