My family (husband, parents & my 3 month old baby) stayed here whilst visiting Kyoto during the Rugby World Cup & it was perfect for our needs for a home away from home with a small baby. The apartments are very well equipped & include a washing machine & tumble dryer (very handy whilst travelling with a baby) plus kitchen equipped with hob, microwave, toaster & fridge. However what makes this place stand out is the excellent hospitality - there is a whole array of food stuffs (milk, juice, bread, butter, jam, instant noodles etc) for guests to help themselves to & on the fifth floor one of the rooms includes a beer fridge & massage chair also for the guests to use free of charge! The staff couldn’t be more helpful & one evening the owner hosted a dinner for the guests to enjoy - it was wonderful to experience a home cooked Japanese meal. The apartments are located in a residential area of Kyoto rather than in the city centre but there are good bus links & a train station close by which makes getting around town easy. A great base to explore Kyoto for families looking for a more flexible accommodation option.

We booked this hotel last minute and weren't expecting much, but it was one of the nicest places we've stayed. We had a lovely clean apartment with everything we needed inside. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Free snacks, drinks and toiletries were available whenever we needed. The only downside is that the location is not the most central, but it is only a short bus ride away from Kyoto station, and the comfort of the apartment and hospitality from the staff made up for this completely. Would definitely stay again.

This was one of the nicest, cleanest places we stayed in on our travels. The apartment is so well looked after and has everything you could need including, toaster, microwave, washing machine, dryer and much more. The owners are so accommodating and friendly and provide free snacks and drinks to guests. The also provided us with useful information about Kyoto and how to get around the city. The bus stop is right outside the hotel and goes to Kyoto train Station which was very convenient for us. Overall, I would definitely recommend to anyone looking to book somewhere in Kyoto.

This should be everyone’s first choice while staying in Kyoto—everything about our stay was perfect. Our apartment was large and clean—with a washer and dryer and full kitchen, the location very convenient. My family was especially thrilled with the family room offered that had a massage chair and a retro Nintendo System complete with old school Mario Brothers. As nice as the accommodations were what shines through the most about Estate Tokyo was the owner and staff. They treated us like family making sure we had what we need at all times and when on a very busy Saturday night I was unable to flag down a taxi, the owner herself kindly insisted on driving my daughter and me to our dinner show. I would give this place ten stars if possible! I recommend to anyone and everyone visiting Kyoto.

It's so homey and cozy. The price and everything is just so damn on point. It's right next to a bus stop. Super amazing service by everyone there. Whoever runs this is an amazing person. Free amenities like cooked food on the fifth floor free beer. Totally reminds me of the small hotels in taipei. Having an amazing time. I would love to stay here next time I'm in Kyoto. The only thing they could add is a gym but I won't miss it. I am able to cook my own breakfast!
