We stayed in a Japanese style room for 4 nights. Although the room is big, it is old looking, dirty and dusty. The room is on the 4th floor, same floor where banquets are held. We noticed some of the rooms that look like ours were used for hosting small banquets. It was noisy every night and especially on weekend. You will think the hotel will have a closing time for the banquet. But hell no! On the last night which was a Monday night, the banquet guests were making hell lot of noise past midnight and disturbed our sleep. I think we are the only group who stayed on that floor. We can also hear noise coming from the street in early morning during weekend as people were talking loudly outside the convenient store. Bad choice! The only good point about the hotel is convenient location near shopping and restaurants. Convenient store is just on the opposite building.…
Even though my friend and I requested a non smoking room, our room smells horribly of smoke, as does the rest of the building. Do not stay here if you have asthma, as I do. Not particularly clean overall, either, ie hairs left in bathroom, stains on bedding. Reception staff are welcoming, at least, and the location is convenient.
The place might be convenient, but I never experienced such a dirty room in my life. The carpets are nasty and there is durst and mold EVERYWHERE. For people with lung diseases, this place is a nightmare. Besides that, walls are stained and ripped. Checked with the hotel staff if there were any other rooms available. Checked two other rooms, same problem. Would not recommend to stay here.
When I checked in something felt familiar about the hotel. Upon reflection I realized I had stayed there almost 25 years ago. Not much had changed. This didn't bother me as I enjoyed the nostalgia and contrasted it with all the change the rest of the city has undergone. We stayed in a tatami room for 4 nights. By the end of our time the rest of my family was ready to sleep in beds again. Our room was large and comfortable enough for all four of us and had a strong wi-fi signal. We enjoyed the breakfast buffet the first morning and went to a local coffee shop the other three. It is perfectly located for short walks to shopping and dining. What impressed me most was the quality of the staff and the services provided. The front staff assisted us with our luggage and with arranging shipment of our bags to Haneda on our last night. If you can put up with the age of the rooms and facilities and are looking for a central location in Hiroshima with great service, this will be a good fit for you. If you are looking for more swank and have a larger budget, the Rhiga Royal may be a better choice. I'll stay there again.…
We were very shocked about how dirty the room was. We even wondered if we somehow went to a wrong country, not in Japan. We booked a non-smoking room and the room was obviously a smoking room. The air smelled horrible. The carpet was very nasty. There was dust everywhere. The air vent of the air conditioner was gross. We had our room changed. The new room was a Japanese style room. It was less smelly and cleaner, but was still dusty everywhere. There were bugs on the tatami mats (I sprayed "Off" around the room to prevent more bugs climbing in), and clearly, they haven't cleaned the air conditioners for decades. After staying here, we felt that we needed to wash ourselves and all the clothing the next day. The location of this hotel is good and the price was among the lowest in the area. However, I don't think these make this hotel worth staying. I suggest travelers stay away from this hotel.…
