It’s my fault, I should have checked more clearly the size and layout of room, we booked a double, would have to be the smallest double bed in the world, with one side pressed against the wall, trapping you in. There are no wardrobes, no complimentary water, or humidifier which we had found in other Japanese hotels. Very claustrophobic, a bit like being in a tent. The bathroom they have turned into a mini onsen, which means the shower goes all over the floor, not great unless you want to have a bath. Hotel well located, easy walk to Peace Memorial, lots of shops and restaurants It’s located in entertainment district, so noisy at nights if you open window. Good breakfast, including fresh egg station. Easy to get to, catch tram 1,2 or 6 from station, get off at sixth stop and it’s a short walk.…
Hotel is at a good location but the room is small and the so-called double bed is like a super single bed. Toilet is small but the shower is of decent size. Limited luggage space. Front desk however very polite and professional and go out of the way to explain how to get to tourist sites. Plenty of food joints nearby although all sell about the same stuff.
Based on a recommendation for it's location, I booked this hotel for a 3 night stay, just wanting a simple place to stay. The Washington was that, and more. Easy to find from the train station (catch a street-car/tram and walk for a few minutes), the hotel is on a nice wide street and has a myriad of shops and restaurants around (including the famous Okonomi-mura). It was a 12 minute walk to the Atomic Dome and Peace Park as well. Check-in was easy, and the room although small, was functional. Bed and pillows quite comfortable. It's not often I say this, but the bathroom was a highlight. The sink and toilet area was augmented with a wet-room and full bathtub - first time I have seen this in a hotel before without paying handsomely for it! Indeed, soaking in my own personal hot tub with a beer from the hotel vending machine after a long day of sightseeing was perfect. I did not sample breakfast so I can't comment on that. Wi-Fi was easy to use and quite fast. I would definitely stay here again.…
Standard hotel, with nice clean rooms. Room was a bit small but seems to be standard in Japan. Good location, we walked to the Peace Memorial from the hotel and its less than 5 min walk to the nearest tram station.
Stayed at a lot of business hotels across Japan. This one has the best western style breakfast in my books. Fresh creamy French toast, great baked goods, nice coffee. Not the same caliber but it reminded me of park Hyatt breakfasts. My wife liked the Japanese breakfast. Decent comfy room, great location in Hiroshima. Nice surprise!
Great location right in the middle of the shopping and entertainment area and about 1km from the Hiroshima museum and Memorial sites. 15 mins from station. We stayed one night and was ok but very basic room. Not usually one to complain about pillows but what were they thinking when they selected the ones they provide? Kind of hard corrugated rubber?? If you could design a pillow to be as Uncomfortable as possible this will be it! The sign in the lift warning guests not to come for breakfast between 6.30 and 9.30 as it will be busy probably (???) says it all (breakfast finishes st 10!). Cant really call it a hotel - no bar, no relaxing reception, just a very small dark room with ridiculous pillows! Ok for one night but must be better options.
This was the best hotel I've stayed in Japan. The room was a reasonable size, still not big, the lighting good and the bed was comfortable giving good support to the back as a good bed should. Excellent showers and first rate breakfast,
The hotel is perfectly situated in the centre of this bustling city. A short walk from the shopping galleries and plenty of bars and restaurants of all types. The walk to the main station takes you past some nice views of the city, history and in our case an early morning snake. The room was well appointed, clean and having a suitable sized bathroom for the 2 of us. The double bed was comfortable, situated snuggly in a small room leaving enough space for the overnight bags. Staff where friendly and made checking in and out a quick and easy process
This hotel was perfect for my first time in Hiroshima! For the value, it's in a perfectly central location. Okonomimura and a big shopping area is just a stone's throw away. It's only a 12-minute walk to the Atomic Dome/Museum, and it's 3 blocks away from the Hatchobori streetcar, which makes it only a 15-minute street car ride to Hiroshima Station. Also, if you're interested in visiting Takehara or Okunoshima (Rabbit Island), you can catch the Kaguyahime bus near Hatchobori Station. My check-in and check-out experience was very hospitable and quick. Even though I can speak Japanese, the staff knows how to speak English really well. The room was simple and had everything I needed. It's actually slightly bigger than most Japanese hotel rooms. I appreciated the amenities, large shower room, and bidet functions for the toilet. The daily cleaning was thorough, as well. I also loved that the elevator couldn't be used unless you use your room key, which automatically selects your floor when swiped. It's nice to have that sense of security. I had to take one star away because the pillows and bed were fine, but not what you'd call plush or anything. For what it's worth, I was still able to get a decent night's sleep. And because it's in a central location, you can still hear a bit of outside noise. My room was facing a courtyard area in the shopping district. It could be bothersome for light sleepers. It can take me a while to fall asleep, so I turned on some white noise on my phone to help me out. Overall, I'd stay here again if I'm ever back in town! For the price, you get all the basics for a comfortable stay and great location.…
Hotel is located right in the thick of the action, all attractions are easily accessible. If you have luggage taxi journey is about 1000yen, easier than the 20minute zigzag walk from the station. The hotel rooms are a bit dated and very small but they are clean. The air con in our room was not working properly so not great and the pillows were hard and lumpy. That said the staff were lovely and the breakfast buffet was interesting and tasty, plenty of choice.
