I really liked this hotel, and don't understand the bad reviews. I stayed on a top floor and the view was breath taking. The rooms are spacious and the bed is comfortable. The Internet connection stable and fast. There is a direct ferry from The hotel pier to miyajima. It is quite far from Hiroshima 's center and tourist attractions... More

We booked a nonsmoking deluxe room with a sea view but were first directed to a smoking room with no sea view. Fortunately they changed the room for us. We later ordered food at the Chinese restaurant upstairs (a whole set meal). The menu (along with a picture!) stated that this included an "all you can eat Peking Duck". Unfortunately,... More

We stayed at this hotel because of its pool. Unfortunately, and rather bizarrely, they charge their own guests for use of the pool. €8,50 pp! It's beyond comprehension why this is not included in the room price. There are multiple restaurants on site, of which we visited two. The Boston Steak & Seafood (oddly named) served the worst lobster I... More

The hotel itself is a little bit outside of Hiroshima city, but the bus lines from the hotel have a high frequent schedule to bring you to the monuments and the city. The hotel is huge and the service was very friendly and personal. The reception was very helpful in assisting us to straighten out the optimum of sight seeing... More

Hard to say what to make of this hotel. The Grand Prince has the image of a luxury hotel, but we managed to get quite a reasonable deal on a family room (that are not available in most hotels). The entrance floor is an impressive vast hall with a olympic-pool-sized fountain in the middle, yet some details did look a... More

Superb views across the bay especially if you book a "triple aspect" room. Rooms are spacious and well equipped Really helpful staff. It is connected to the railway station by a shuttle bus that runs every 90 or so minutes. Convenient if travelling by Shinkansen There is a also a public bus stop outside the hotel that goes to the... More

Positives were the room was enormous with a lovely view. However the location is difficult. Had to use taxis both days. There is a private ferry but as we were travelling with JR Passes we couldn't justify the extra expense. The restaurants were very expensive for families.

I've stayed in hotels all over Japan, but the deluxe family room here at the Grand Prince Hiroshima is one of the largest rooms I've ever seen. My wife and I brought our 2 daughters to do some sightseeing in Hiroshima and picked this hotel at the last minute cause it looked good on the Web. We booked a package... More

This is a beautiful, very peaceful hotel. It's 20 minutes from Hiroshima station, however the free, air conditioned Hotel coach leaves promptly every hour, so it's very easy to get to Hiroshima. We were surprised to pay extra to use the pool and the onsen (2000 ¥ each pp). The beach is easily accessible.

The location of the hotel was great, in front of beautiful sea. In front of this hotel, we can use ferry to visit Miyajima and Itsukushima shrine, UNESCO World Heritage. My sea view room was comfortable. The views were spectacular and room size was good. I had breakfast at the top floor restaurant which was a reasonably priced buffet style... More
