Located at heart of city center Able to walk Peace Memorial Park and restaurants. Just in front of city tram station Reception staffs were very helpful that sending by courier our luggages to next destination Tokyo's hotel. The twin room was spacious and very comfortable to stay. We recommend you to stay in this hotel
Stayed here for 6 days in March 2020. The area is within 4 mins walking of the Chuden-Mae train stop which conveniently takes you directly to JR Station. They offer breakfast in the restaurant next door with your room rate if its added. The restaurant offers 3 choices for breakfast which are ok at best. They have onsite washer and dryer but the dryers did not work well when we stayed and our clothes remained damp. This hotel is withing walking distance of Hiroshima Peace Memorial Park, the boat ferry for Miyajima, and Handori St. Shopping strip. There are many restaurants nearby and places to shop. There is also a Starbucks within walking distance. Most of the hotel staff spoke some english and they were friendly and helpful when we wanted to order pizza and have it delivered. This is a city-center business district and this hotel had alot of business-type people. Because of the small rooms I would say it is difficult for a family to stay here but great for a couple or single person. Because it is only my wife and I it is a good choice for us and I would stay there again.…
From the train station, you can catch the No.1 light rail tram to a stop that is very close to the hotel, but beware as there is also a sister hotel nearer the station, so make sure you end up at the correct one :-). The staff members were very friendly and helpful, and our room (714) was very comfortable. The double bed was tucked into a corner but there was a nice ledge where things could be stored. There was a large desk and space to hold both our suitcases, and hanging space for clothes. There was a small fridge (but remember to switch it on). There was a TV, reverse-cycle Air Con, and what looked like a dehumidifier. The windows can be opened for fresh air. The lighting is good and there are well-placed power points, and tea/coffee making facilities. The bathroom was good as was the shower. We chose not to have the hotel breakfast, preferring to have muesli and milk (from the local convenience store) in our room.…
Stayed here for 4 nights. It was great experience with Daiwa. Arrived at the hotel an hour earlier, however, the check-in time was from 2pm onwards, this was quite common in Japan, hence, I just stored my luggages with hotel and came back late. The overall check-in process was smooth, upon check-in, I was given the coffee & tea bags, breakfast vouchers for 4 days’ quantities. What a surprise, 4 packs of tissue masks were provided to me! This was first time that I received the complimentary tissue masks from the hotel, feel so great! The hotel location was very strategic, only 2 minutes walk to tram station (Chudan-mae), you alight at Hondori, Kamiya-Cho-higashi, Kamiya-Cho-nishi, Hachobari for the attractions like Hiroshima Castle, Atomic Bomb Dome, Peace Memorial Park, Sogo etc. Truly enjoyed the stays here, the hotel was quiet, not located at busy streets, breakfast set served was really nice, staffs were nice and friendly... One more thing to call out, Daiwa was really go-for-green, they have launched the green program, if you stayed with hotel for more than 2 nights and not required for daily cleaning services, they will reward you with a complimentary mineral water. Though this is only small token, but it really helps and show their efforts to promote the green! Glad ti support this. Daiwa hotel chain is definitely my first choice if travel around Japan :)…
We enjoyed our stay here the room was not a bad size and was clean and quiet. The beds are hard but you will find that in Japan. The staff were very nice, helpful and spoke good English. The hotel is central and walkable to the peace park and castle. There are plenty of buses and trams going past the hotel. The restaurant downstairs is busy the food is nice, the machine to order your food is a bit hard to navigate!
