The location is very good; walkable to/from the main train station and also to the main parts of town. The room was normal Japanese size and well presented and the staff was very helpful. The breakfast was good with a decent range of hot and cold food. At the end of the corridor there was a free tea/coffee machine. Good...

I staid in this hotel for two weeks, during a business trip. Unfortunately, I got a smoking room. When I told the desk person about my problem, they tried to solve the problem and to make me as comfortable as possible, which was very nice of them. I staid in the same room, but after a day or two, they...

Wife and I stayed here for one night on a quick trip to Hiroshima. We had a twin room and I recommend getting a twin room. If you're expecting the rooms to be large with lots of extra room, you will be disappointed. Japanese business hotel rooms are compact with efficient use of the small spaces. Our room had a...

Looking at the fire escape map the our twin was the biggest on the floor. 'Big' by Japanese business hotel standards is a relative term but so long as you don't have a ton of luggage with you then it's manageable. Room was clean (new and no cigarette smell), breakfast was good (get there early!), staff were friendly (little English...

The hotel is modern with small but clean rooms. Stayed in a double room with girlfriend. Good location, facilities, price, and general service. There is/was also filtered coffee available on every floor.

We stayed here as a family and had booked two rooms which turned out not to be adjacent. Would not recommend for a family stay as the location is near the red light district. The double room was smaller than the twin room (no room to swing a cat) and the bathroom was in a cupboard. Each floor has communal...

Good location, facilities, price, and general service. However, nobody told us about the points system until we were checking out. Then we were informed that we could not accumulate points for the night we just stayed. Also, you need an address in Japan to quality for points membership. Other hotel chains are keen to get members. Not so in this...

These rooms would be OK if you were travelling solo. But for a couple, you had to take it in turns to move in the room. The breakfast was terrific - great selection of Japanese delicacies as well as danishes. Front of house staff were helpful.

Rooms in Japanese business hotels tend to merge in the mind. Small. Clean. Efficient. The Hotel Active fitted the mold. It was the service that stood out. Problems with accessing WiFi immediately brought a young receptionist to my 9th floor door. An effort to get an outside line to reserve my next hotel brought, unasked, the same young guy who...

This is a great hotel and extraordinary value. It seems newish and is well fitted out; it’s well located – very central. My room was very comfortable, very clean and I had an openable window which allowed me to sleep without air-conditioning. Great laundry facilities and a good generous breakfast too given the room rate – mostly Japanese cuisine, but...
