Great onsen facility, very quiet, clean and comfortable, and service is very good. We were a big family with kids and elders and everyone enjoyed the staying a lot. Food was great and the free drinks at lounge area makes the staying a great experience. Recommend for family trip.
Wonderful experience. We paid for rooms with view and onsen for myself and my wife and my parents who are in their 60s. The parents and my wife loved the food and the outdoor onsen. I had work, so I enjoyed my interior stay, in-room onsen looking out into the snow and mountains. The food was very good, service excellent. Both breakfast and dinner was great. I wish I could have stayed for longer, but our next stop called! Also, I have an international licence so I parked in front of the hotel. Very convenient. Be careful of ice and snow in winter and early spring.
I stayed for 2 nights for my birthday in February 2019 and enjoyed enormously the services, accommodation and meals at this onsen hotel. It is not cheap but value for money. The two dinners we booked are set menu which are beautifully presented and authentic Japanese food. I like the wagyu beef most which melted in the mouth. We are also taken care of all days by the hotel for drinks and snacks at the bar. After dinner, we had a night cap before sleeping. One must not miss the cake shop at 1/F which sells very limited amount of specialty cake. If you eat the cake there, you will be served with tea. Make sure you get there early before 10.30am (open at 9.30am), otherwise you would not able to get your favourite cake. I get a birthday photo from the hotel specially taken for me too, which is nice. …
For an onset hotel, this place is old, and need refurbish for sure. Dinner was not good at all, the steak was even overcooked. There were only 3 groups in the hotel, very quite, lack of staff. The hotel was clean but old. Dinner is 2/5, breakfast is also boring. I wish this place to be better as I have visited their other hotel. This hotel has beautiful website which bought us to their hotel. Its disappointing to see the aged decor, beds were too springy and soft. I have requested to allow 6 people to stay together in the same room like before in their other hotel , but was refused. There was clearly enough room to do so. Onsen is decent, outdoor Onsen is actually feels good, but steam room closed at 10pm for no reason what so ever. Private in room onsen is also great for a morning dip. I am happy to visit again if they decide to renovate the place. By the way, no wifi? seriously?? this is 2018, no wifi?…
I stayed in this onsen hotel for 1 night, hotel provided two publc onsens, one is very big and other is normal size. Two private onsens, you need to book in advance if you want to try private onsens. Both public & private onsen with indoor & outdoor pool. High standard services of Staffs, Rooms included buffet breakfast & dinner, you can paid extra to upgrade for crabs dinner.
