Hotel newly renovated. Rooms exceedingly spacious. Staff willing to go the extra mile. Gym was brand new; as was the swimming pool. Wifi was wonderfully strong. Only snag was that the fitness centre only opened at 9am. A little odd by international standards.

The hotel location is beside the Westlake and also in the Liuying Park. Just need few minutes ,we can go to the beauty spot of the Westlake by walk. But the hotel is too dated. And sound insulation facilities is not good.

This hotel is located right on the lake and within minutes one can be walking along the quiet part of west lake . Great location. I enjoyed long morning walk starting from the hotel gardens. But unfortunately, the hotel is going through renovations (much needed) and from the looks of it, on several parts of the large property. Echoing other... More

I have been traveling in Asia for quite some time and usually stay in hotels that are accommodating of foreigners. The staff here does not speak a word of English. They are neither helpful nor friendly. I booked my room through an online site and was unable to clear up the issues resulting from their misunderstanding of the reservation. There... More

This hotel is right on the lake so if you're in West Lake for a peaceful, quiet rest, the location can't be beat. However, if you enjoy going out and want to be closer to the action in terms of restaurants and shopping, give it a miss. It is a seller's market for cabs in Hangzhou and we had to... More

One of only 3 hotel properties actually on the lake, this hotel is a lovely find. It's nestled in the woods on the shores of the lake, with walking paths leading into the forest and along the lake. The hotel is renovating so part of the grounds are off limits. The rooms are clean and bright but ours had no... More

The location of the hotel is great, right by the stunning west lake. That said it was still hard to find by walking and a taxi from the station is recommended! The hotel itself is nice enough, it is clean, good sized rooms, however is slightly dated. I don't think for a Chinese hotel it was great value. The one... More

We stayed for three nights in April in a suite with a view of sidewaters of the lake - very quiet, calm and serene. Staff were very helpful at all times, breakfasts were excellent with fresh coffee and enough hot milk to make lattes, fresh cooked eggs any style, fresh fruit, yoghurts, cereals, teas, cooked Chineese dishes, excellent breads, jams... The hotel is in a perfect spot on the edge of the beautiful West Lake and surrounded by woods and parks. Only 1 or 2 expensive rooms are lakeside as in their pictures but many rooms have lake views and they have the hotel has its own tea pavilion and tables lakeside. It is also an easy walk into town... We stayed in this hotel in April 2013. The hotel is average, but they have a very beautiful garden complete with real Chinese pavilion, its private lake (s) and it is right next to Xihu. The famed Hefang street is walking distance and very convenient. A short walk outside along the xihu lake, you can get a boat ride for... More
