Looking at the photos of the exterior online, I was a little worried about booking 4 nights with my wife and young son as it looks quite dated and brash (reminded me of 1970s Birmingham, England for some reason) and we deliberated for days about it. Finally we took the decision as Chinese New Year was approaching very fast and...

Hangzhou is a charming city with many attractions. The Narada Grand Hotel is well situated and inexpensive and a perfect residence for both those on business duty and those on holiday. The staff were more than willing to help and were of a pleasant disposition. One minor irritation is the rather high bar prices.

Cross street is the Baoshi (Gem) Mountain. If you can get up early, before 6am, and start hike over the mountain, you will capture the extremely beautiful sunrise above the West Lake. There even is a place called ChuYangTai (Sunrise Platform). And then you can get to the lakeside before it got very crowded. That is the best part of...

I was here on a business trip and overall the experience was good. This is a good place to stay while in Hangzhou. The staff was helpful. The rooms were clean, the bed was comfortable, and overall it was nicely decorated. The windows opened, but mosquitoes will come in. There was free in-room internet/WiFi and TV with a variety of...

No doubt that Hangzhou is the best city I visit in china. First stay at the Narada Grand and I enjoyed it. Check in and Check out was efficient, English speaking and no triple checking every thing, which often happens in China. My room was spacious, big tub and good king size bed. A good working desk a little view...

We use to visit this hotel for last 6 years at least every summer holidays. We still like it, however we observe slight change of management to be focused rather on large groups than individual customer. This is overall trend, I know. There are no small pensions in Hangzhou which may be an option. So, unfortunately, during each visit here...

The hotel owns a very good location next to the world trade center you can also take a free walk to the West Lake if you like. A city iconic hotel with a grand feeling, rooms are renovated so it's very up-to-date, also the breakfast is rich with many local delicacies. With a very good deal rate you can stay...

The hotel is quite good however, don't think it is a 5 Stars hotel if compare to those international chain hotels. The room is good and I like it but the bathroom is old. The water in the bathroom cannot drain and it got stucked everytime. breakfast was good and other service is fine too.

This is my first encounter with this hotel chain. It does not have the fancy decorations as I learned that is a five star hotel, in fact the decoration are very traditional, and there are signs of old. However, it provides comfortable bed, motorized window shade, (a surprising modern equipment in contrast to the rest room deco), the bathroom is...

Everything about this hotel is 5 stars; it's service, room, buffet breakfast & weather proof room. It's also close to West Lake, the key tourist spot in Hangzhou. Therefore it's very reasonable & value for money. I will definitely stay here if I ever return to Hangzhou.
