Perhaps the poor reviews relate to a lack of fluency in English from all staff - but there are sufficient who can speak English to solve most problems in our cased tracking down a missing tour operative. Well located for an evening stroll to the lake - with easy access to local restaurants - not sure as to value as...

Nothing much to comment for the facilities, the room is nice, helpful staff but not all can speak and understand english, nice buffet breakfast. But too bad the period we traveled was around the G20 conference and every where road blocking, no internet access even limited selectiveTV programs only. Feel like been quarantine.

Rude staff at the front desk. Very noisy if your room is in the front. Breakfast was poor and not enough available tables. They hardly speak / understand English Toilet in the lobby is dirty. So if you're around skip this hotel.

I travel a lot for business and very rarely have a bad experience because I only stay in quality hotels I made a mistake this time, ordinary breakfast, noise room, concrete beds, some very unhelpful staff and one very rude individual staff member the one thing it has going for it is location if you stay here or near here...

Since we wanted to visit West Lake, this seemed to be the perfect spot. There are lots of shopping places in this area and our guide gave us tips on where to look for items we wanted to buy before traveling home. West Lake is a beautiful scenic spot and with all the construction getting ready for the September summit,...

The only positive thing about this hotel is the location. Very closet to stores and the west lake. The front desk who checked us in had attitude, instead of explaining why they need a Chinese address in order to check in, they even arguing back with us that every hotel does it, tell us to go check around...- I'm sorry,...

We stayed in this hotel during the recent Dragon Boat Festival holiday. This hotel is easy to find. It's a short walk from the nearest subway station, which is the direct line to to the coach station and Hangzhou East Railway station. It is very close to West Lake. Just a two-minute walk and you can join the crowds of...

The location is very convenient and the room was large. Our room was clean and pleasant although some other parts of the hotel were a little damp and smoky smelling (this is VERY common in China). The staff where very helpful and polite. The breakfast was medico but there are lots of restaurants and cafes very close by. My priorities...

Stayed here for a week as part of our adoption trip to China. Overall, the hotel itself is very beautiful. It is in a great location next to West Lake, Shopping and eating. There is plenty to do around the hotel and the staff were very friendly despite the language barrier. The breakfast buffet was really a nice treat. On...

My husband and I stayed here for the last four nights of our month long China holiday. Firstly to the positives... This hotel has a great location... Only a short walk to the very beautiful and green garden laced West Lake. The breakfast buffet was certainly sufficient, plentiful, fresh and cheery. Eastern and western choices both plentiful. The staff were...
