昆明錦江之星長水機場店有免費接送機服務,就算是一個人會送。 我早上7點飛機,4點半前檯會致電到房叫你起床。前檯服務員有禮,會細心解答你的問題。我會再住的。

We simply needed an airport hotel for the night to catch our connecting flight the next morning. After searching endlessly on all the booking sites, we settled for this hotel. The area around the hotel wasn’t really appealing but just about all the airport hotels were around this area. The hotel itself was fine. We felt safe and that was the important thing. The staff were alright, they tried their best to help us through our pathetic use of the Chinese language but we managed through translation apps. The room was relatively clean but could be better - the bathroom wasn't the cleanest but could be used. It had the basics - we weren’t staying there to be in the lap of luxury ... not at that price point anyway. There is a restaurant attached to the hotel and a few around the area. We had dinner at the hotel and were happy with it - not going to be winning awards, but when you need your stomach filled, it does the job. Being in a somewhat industrial area, there was some strange blaring noise that I can only describe as a 'warning' sound coming from somewhere nearby - it kept us awake all night but this is not the fault of the hotel and it certainly would have been heard at any hotel in the area. A free airport shuttle service is provided for all arriving guests – you just somehow need to communicate with them about your arrival at the airport (someone called the hotel on our behalf - thank you to the stranger who was trying to scam us with money exchange that we did not fall for). A free shuttle service is also provided to the airport from the hotel but this shuttle is for all the airport hotels in the area, so it gets very packed and you really need to book in advance. From all the reviews on the other hotels, I think this is probably the best of the lot if you are looking for something near the airport but not costing the earth. If you don't go expecting the Ritz, you won't be too disappointed. It really wasn't bad - being our first night in China probably increased our anxieties. Note: There are many, many hotels in the area (and the rest of China). You just don't see them on the international booking sites because hotels in China need to be licensed to receive foreign guests and be of a certain standard (though that does not necessarily mean that those that aren't licensed are not of an acceptable standard - they may simply choose not to have foreginers stay.)

Taxi drivers did not want to take me to the hotel because it is too close. The hotel phone number on booking.com was incorrect. being stuck outside an airport, with no way to contact the hotel and no way to get there is not a pleasant experience. I began to take photos of the number plates of taxis who would not take me and after just two photos one driver went out of his way to help. Further delays, because the HOTEL PHONE NUMBER on booking.com WAS WRONG, so the taxi driver could not get specific directions. Got there eventually, hotel is good for a stopover for the price. My room was large and clean. Guest information and menu in my room was only in Chinese, so although I had missed lunch and dinner, I was unable to get room service. There seemed to be places to eat open late near the hotel, but I was to tired to go out.

On this trip, we stayed in Kunming downtown, Qujing, Dali old town and then this hotel, close to KMG airport, and it was by far the worst hotel of the trip. Where to start... the hotel shuttle from the airport let us wait 30 minutes despite us calling them ahead of time as requested. The reception staff didn't speak one work of English. They were not able to accept non-Chinese credit cards, the rooms were not that clean, with slight mold edges along the sink and shower... The only good thing about the hotel? --> the restaurant next door. Not recommended!
