Wonderful efficient friendly staff. The Front Desk employee was amazing!!!! So sweet and helpful to me. Everyone from checking me in, restaurant servers, room cleaning. Spacious rooms with very comfortable bed and seating area.
Pro of the hotel is nearby to train station. Nice hotel from outside, looks really grand. Fast check in process, as we arrive after midnight. Airport bus to final destination and need to walk around 5 - 8 minutes to the hotel. Everything is ok, just the bathroom should need some renovation.
We booked this hotel after reading some positive reviews and identifying it as having an ideal location in terms of distance from landmarks and also the North Railway Station. It is not far from the Metro, we got off at Wulukou station and it is roughly a 10 minute walk northward. To be honest we were expecting an average hotel from some of the pictures and for the price we payed, however entering the lobby it is clear that it is a well maintained and high-end 'ish' hotel. The lobby is large and even has a small moat with fish. Check in was simple, and no deposit required. The room was spacious and and had all the amenities one would expect like a fridge, safe, TV, and nice toiletries provided. There was even and ironing board and extras like a sewing kit, we assume is for the business clients as there was also wired internet. The internet [un wired] was not great and I'm not sure as to it's safety as there was no password and no security on it... The room is cleaned daily and there is free bottled water, the bathroom has a nice ambient music feature, however they only seem to have one and a half songs on repeat. The room is slightly tired; peeling wallpaper and a shower nozzle that was half broken. There was even a crack above the window sill that some building insulation was slowly raining down from. Despite having a window, the view was pretty poor, we looked eastwards from floor 12 over what appears to be a sort of slum-like area. The bed was also a bit sketchy, it just seemed like several mattresses were layed upon one another, however we got decent nights sleep. We can't comment on the breakfast as we didn't try it, we opted to eat at local bakeries etc. On top of this, our experience with the staff was moderate as we did ask about nice places to eat, their English is not great however that is understandable (and I cannot speak over 3 words of Chinese so they're better than me) however once they understood they could only recommend their diner... and a small eatery right next door which was more like a Chinese McDonald's. I visited the gym which has a good amount of equipment and is basically always empty (the self sign-in/sign-out rota had only been signed twice in a week when I looked at it). What is strange, as many others note, the photo they use is of the hotel opposite, not their hotel which is grander in size and style so it baffles me as to why they don't update it. Overall we had a good experience at the hotel and it was adequate to meet our travelling needs, check out was simple again and gave us plenty of time to reach our train to Chengdu.…
Reason we chose this hotel due to the location near to the bus station right in front of the Xi’an Railway station. We took direct bus 306 from the bus station to Terracotta Warrior Museum. We stayed 3 nights. There are many eateries around, including one 24/hours food chain just located within the hotel building. It is also within 15 minutes walk to Wulukou Metro. We came from Beijing by high speed rail, where we can transfer to Metro to reach the hotel. The hotel is very spacious, clean with basic amenities and toiletries provided. Also, daily drinking water is provided too. The front desk service staff were less friendly and approachable. But, smooth check-in and check-out process. Their standard checkout time is 3pm. On the other hand, the concierge service staff were much more friendly and helpful. They allow luggage storage after checkout without extra charge due to our late afternoon train return to Beijing. We didn’t have breakfast since there are many eateries nearby. Would recommend this hotel due to the good location especially for anyone plan to visit Terracotta Warrior Museum and if you are not particular on the staff friendliness at the front desk. …
The hotel is in a great location for exploring Xian, across the road from the train station and by the bus to the Terracotta Warriors. Our room was huge with a lovely bed, the down side was we were facing the main road so the traffic was quiet loud. Breakfast was one of the best we had in China so worth adding in to the booking. Hotel had a gym which was quite large but looked like it was rarely used at the lights were off and equipment wasn't plugged in. The 'spa' was completely locked up when we went. Overall for value for money we were really pleased with it.
