Now I'm not one to give full marks lightly but this place earned it. Location is fantastic; close to Muslim quarter, bell tower, bus to station etc, and right in the middle of a local market. Dorms are clean (you need to leave the clean up notice on the handle for daily servicing), big rooms with air con heaters that...

Spent a great week here. This place is absolutely excellent for people who want to experience Xi'an. Firstly it is situated bang smack in the hustle and bustle of the Muslim quarter - there is a stall across the road from which you can buy a great Ro Jia Mo which is the local specialty dish. The hostel is great...

The Alley Youth Hostel is everything you'd want in a hostel. While not located near a main thoroughfare, if you're looking for a taste of China, give this place a try. Everything is nice and clean and I especially appreciated the bar/restaurant downstairs. The lounge is a great place to have a quiet drink at the end of the day....

Location is not really strategic if you come using a cab, they tend to stop you at somewhere very dark. However, if you are using Metro, you are advisable to stop at Zheng Lou station (Red Line - towards Weiqunan station, if you are from the rail station; Beikhezhan station) and uses the underpass to exit to Xin Da Jie...

We had the best stay here in a double room for three nights at 137 yuan/night. The staff was very friendly and upbeat, spoke English well, and very helpful with info about transportation (bus to the warriors, bus to the airport). On our arrival from the train station, we also called them so they could communicate with our taxi driver....

More like a hotel than a hostel. Room was very nice and staff was friendly and spoke good English. They stayed up for us since we landed in Xi'an very late. If you want to be near the Muslim quarter, this is the place to stay! They also play some new release movies on a large projection screen in the...

This hostel is inside the muslim street, have to walk (go through the busy street with BBQ smell) 15min to Bell tower to get Metro. Taxi can hardly access into the hostel. Cleanliness is not up to expectation, esp the toilet. Some staff are friendly.... Every morning you will be awaken by the noise from the busy street.... If you...

We stayed here just 1 night on a quick visit to Xi'an. The manager was very helpful helping us get to the Terracotta Warriors. We caught the 611 bus to the train station, then the 306 to the Warriors. It was so easy and cheap! The beds were comfortable, the bathroom was ok- small but we didn't need anything more....

A really great stay! This is the type of hostel you always hope to find. Staying here made our trip to Xi'an all the more great. One member of staff is brilliant (speaks perfect english) I didn't get her name but she answered all our questions. The communal area is great. Movies are shown every night. Pool table is free....

This hostel is right smack of the Muslim Quarter and close to Ancient Mosque, the Bell Tower and Market. They also arrange tours. I took the tour to Hua Shan and save for the wrong information given about time of departure by the receptionist at the counter, everything was good. A good place to meet other travelers too.
