I have travelled extensively in Asia, including China, and really appreciated the boutique feeling, detailed design attention, noble material usage, and atmosphere. I highly recommend the stay to families, friends looking to step out of soulless hotels and discover more down to earth, attentioned places. And a great price, which makes it even more enjoyable

Stayed here 3 nights in April with an upper end tour group. Enough of the staff had enough English for everyone to get by. It is a couple of blocks off of a main street so it is quieter than many hotels we stayed in. Your first night they bring you a welcome basket of fruit and milk and the...

We stayed three nights in this modern hotel in Xi'an. Very nice rooms some with a traditional bed. Excellent breakfast buffet on the third floor. Location is in the south of the city, a little away from the centre and from the High Speed Train station. Only problem could be the little English spoken in the hotel.

I loved it as it is so different and at very good rates , I would call this a design or theme hotel and very few guests will get to experience such a hotel at such great value rates , yes it's not all perfect but you pay for what you get and in this hotel segment the value doesn't...

Reasonably nice rooms, but the location is not particularly good, as it is not close to restaurants, shopping or attractions. Almost no English spoken. Had a problem with the restaurant; we went in one evening for a drink; they reluctantly served us and when we ordered a second drink, they said they were closed. We asked what time they closed;...

I used to stay regularly in Zuoyouke when I visited Xi'an. It was a quirky hotel, and I was happy about it. However, I had a sudden change of schedule in the Spring of 2013, and had to change my reservation with the hotel. I did so online, which was what they indicated on their website as well. I went...

June 2014, I stayed for one night at Zuoyouke. I travel a lot for work in China so this was a great surprise. It's a carbon lite/ Eco renovated factory, which has detailing and craftmanship throughout each spot often using recycled material, and little thoughtful local snack and beverages. It's a great place to wind down after busy traffic/ business...

After spending a week in my typical Marriott this was a nice departure. Its a bit hard to find - even for my guide and off from the main area in Xi'an but given we had to drive around everywhere that wasnt a big deal. Clean room, great air-con (it was 94+), super shower though the rooms were small. Nice...

Gorgeous hotel that blends classic and contemporary. I know some reviewers thought the location was inconvenient, but this is easily solved by taking the 604 bus from the main road which bring you to the Bell Tower in about 20 mins. Take the same one coming back and get off when you see the Shangri-La hotel. Costs just 1 RMB...

We booked this hotel more for its atmosphere than its location and ended up being disappointed with both. Location wise we found it little too far out of the city to make it easy to get around (cab is the only option), and the area itself wasn't anything special. We also had the issue that the location given on Expedia...
