This is the kind of Hilton Experience that has made me a loyal HHonors member (unlike my current stay that I will post when I am done) Jimmy Li helped me and 5 friends check in and his attention to details and making sure that we had the best possible rooms told me that from top down, management cared about their customers. We were suppose to be in Shanghai, but with the COVID concerns there we extended our stay in Xi'an and had no regrets. This generosity at check in was just the start of a memorable stay. Candy in the Executive Lounge while her English wasn't strong was always ready to help. Tina, also from the Executive Lounge was our to to person for anything while in the Lounge. She was quick to help us, checking in and between her and Candys attention our plates where cleaned up, our drinks filled, and called on when a new pizza arrived. Sorry for all the pizza eating...... Our time after long days in Xi'an sight seeing was bookended by this memorable times ni the Executive Lounge at night and in the morning for breakfast. There, Carrie Luck came over and introduced herself and said if we needed anything to let her know. A touch of class indeed. While Carrie wasn't always there, Joy Li was very plesenat, Susan learned we would want salt and pepper and it arrived, as well as our morning coffees and tea without asking. A China Daily newspaper was a nice touch too. The chef Leslie was happy to help us with any request as well. The hotel itself was clean without being sterile. Was friendly without being overbearing. Was a perfect balance of helpful and not overly asking if we needed anything. This is not the best hotel if you want to wander and find out about Xi'an, but we had 4 nights there, and we were doing out log distance tours while there and it was a perfect respite from the travels. (Later we moved into Xi'an downtown for walking Xi'an) Now the stay was great, our room was wonderful and I loved the glass bathroom on the side of the building. Not to everyones tastes certainly, but I loved it with its huge tub and separate shower, and so much room and super comfortable bed. Now, it isn't perfect, since the hot tubs were great looking in the pictures, but most of the jets didn't work. Some of the tubs weren't hot, but the lack of jets and heat make if frustrating. We had a different hot tub every day, and not one had jets that all worked. The pool itself looked better in the pictures and it wasn't a pool that was help coming to stay poolside after a swim. The water you had to walk through to get to the pool was bone chilling cold too. This was a sad spot on disappointment but everything else was so wonderful, and the hot tubs you couldn't at least enjoy to a point. This should be fixed as soon as possible because so many other things were spot on!

The Hotel is well positioned with lots of public transport options from which to explore the delights of the City. The hotel is very nicely appointed and all the staff were very friendly and helpful. I would like to make a very special mention for two ladies that were extremely helpful and provided execellent service - Jenna & Tina. Who made our stay extra special. I would thoroughly recommend this hotel and would definitely stay here again.

Xi'an is my dream city and my first time check-in Xi'an I choose this hotel under Hilton brand. I have stayed with Hilton for many years and enjoy the service and feeling Hilton delivered to me. This hotel with convenient location easily access to park and office buildings. I always pick up one day dining in house. Lucky for me, I met Southeast Asian food festival and every food is like a piece of art. Very good looking and tastes wonderful. What really impressed me is the detailed service offered by employees in this hotel. I have confused about directions to famous spots and they patiently give me guidance and offer with helpful tips to delight my stay and tour. Undoubtedly, I will be with this hotel and recommend to my friends in the future.

Dear Fanny 19881003, Thank you for taking your time to give us your valuable insight. I was pleased to read that you had a positive experience during your stay. Your correct the Hotel location in the High-tech Zone, offers convenient access to many local attractions including the Tang Dynasty Ruined Park or the fresh green park opposite the hotel, ideal for a morning run or a casual stroll. Currently, Café Terrace (1F of the hotel) is launching the Southeast Asian Food Festival. We like to hold regular promotions to ensure our offerings are always different, and to give our chefs a chance to introduce new tastes – I am glad you enjoyed. Looking forward to your stay with us again. Best Regards, General Manger Sandy Murray

We stayed here two nights during our trip around China and we were very disappointed by everything. When we arrived at our room we found a cleaning cloth in the sink, the room was very dirty, all around you could see stains of whatever...the window could not be closed and noise was coming in from the building work next to the hotel. Next day we complained about the room and they changed us to a junior suite but it was still very dirty...In the morning we were called 3 times by the waking up service even if we cancelled it!!! None of the two mornings we were seated for breakfast and we didn’t know where to sit because the tables were not cleared and you couldn’t know if there was somebody having breakfast or they haven’t cleaned up yet! We were not the only ones in our group to complain about the window and how clean it was, but the only lucky ones that received another room... the others were told that it is better to remain in the room they were given because the remaining available rooms were worse...Sorry to say, but this hotel is only a name... It is true that the hotel is not new anymore, but it is not an excuse for being dirty,in Beijing we stayed in an old hotel which was very clean and had a great service.

Dear explore 312293 Thank you for taking the time to complete an on line review. Firstly, let me apologize for the issues you experienced on your stay…you are correct there is never an excuse for not proving 100% cleanliness whether it be cleaning cloth left behind or a restaurant table not prepared… in regards to the wakeup call I will review why with my Systems Manager as I have not received any other comments. Rest assured I will be taking up both issues with my team to ensure we do not let this slip happen again… our goal is to always delight our guest not disappoint. I do hope you otherwise enjoyed your time in Xi’an – if returning please, contact me as I would like to personally look after your arrangements and make amends. Kind regards, General Manager Sandy Murray

When we got to the room there was a strong smell of tobacco in the air. Given that I have respiratory problems, we asked to change rooms, but instead they told us that they would send the express cleaning service to solve the problem: 5 minutes later an employee arrived with a cloth of dust and a bottle with a product of spray cleaning; she asked us to leave the room, and when we came back the air smelled strongly of the cleaning product... In addition, the hotel is situated in an area where there is nothing around (when we asked where we could dine, the response was to strongly advise the hotel restaurant), and the building needs interior renovation (torn sofa) and exterior (windows did not close well and thanks to that we heard the traffic noise despite being on the 11th floor). It definitely does not fit the expected quality of a Hilton!

Dear Xangri-la123, Thank you for taking time to complete an on line review of the hotel. Clearly the response of the hotel team to the room smell was poorly handled and not as should happen at a Hilton – I totally agree. Rest assured I will address and ensure this never happens again. The hotel has started a soft refurbishment program, I am sorry that your room did not provide you with a good rest…. I am confident when you return our new rooms will be to your satisfaction. In regards to the local area, in fact the hotel does have a number of great local eateries, within a short walk, I can only assume a new member spoke to you – no excuse we need to do better to ensure consistency. Kind regards, General Manager Sandy Murray
