We booked this place for a two night stay in Xian. We came o visit the terracotta army and decided to extend the stay for another night as we liked Xian. The surroundings of the hotel are great with parks, shopping malls and a market style alley with attractions. The hotel itself is nicely built with places to sit in... More

A nice traditional Chinese style hotel, located next to the Wild Goose Pagoda. We took a family room for four of us, including two children - the rooms are spacious and comfortable with two queen beds, separate area for TV and sitting space, plus two large mats. Interiors are traditional and well maintained. The hotel organises music shows in the... More

Our family of 3 stayed in a family room. It is spacious but the lay out is a bit strange, as there is a elevated part in the room with mats on it. Chinese style, but it kind of feels like a wasted space. The grounds are beautiful. Location is good but it is far away from the city walls... More

The hotel is made up of several buildings built around lovely large courtyards, in the traditional Tang Dynasty style. The courtyards are green and well-treed with ponds and include plenty of sitting areas. Although modern, our room featured ‘Chinese’ style furniture, fixtures and finishes. The room included a desk and computer with wifi access, as well as a small sitting... More

We'd rate this a 3 because it was a little funkier--smaller rooms, faintly musty smell-- than other hotels we stayed in--I (Julia) liked it better (4) than my husband ( Rick, the official tripadvisor member) because it was two stories and built around courtyards--beautiful trees in them and except for the fact it was raining, where I would have hung out... The hotel was in a great location to walk around, lots of sights and restaurants within minutes. The grounds and hotel were in a very traditional style. The room was quite large and the bed was super comfortable. They even had a computer in the room. The breakfast was not very good besides the coffee making machine. One complaint I... More

We loved this hotel, despite the room being the smallest of our entre trip and the bathroom was in need of a refurbishment. The grounds are spectacular and we loved the room facing onto a courtyard as we were able to sit on the terrace and take in the view. The staff were lovely and the breakfast was good. We... More

I chose to stay outside the hustle and bustle of the walled city. Tang Dynasty Garden is a beautiful oasis with lush courtyards, fish ponds and a view of the Big Wild Goose Pagoda. My emails with the hotel were answered promptly and clearly. Information in Chinese about how the reach the hotel by taxi was emailed before our arrival.... More

We wanted to spend three days in this hotel, which came recommended, but I guess the positive postings here are fake or bought. We were told, our booking was some kind of misunderstanding, the offered discount (30%) could not be offered anymore, so it was abt. 1.000rmb/night. It's always bad to change hotel at the same day, but almost hopeless... More

We stayed here for two nights in December and were surprised at how comfortable and well equipped the Chinese-style rooms are. The hotel comprises several attractive linked courtyards, and the bedrooms are accessed from these, as is the breakfast room which provides a wide selection of mainly Chinese foods. The hotel is situated next to the Dayan Pagoda in a... More
