Good location. Facing river side. Walking distance to Elephant Hill and Moon Sun Pagoda. Cosy rooms and fantastic front desk. Look for Denise. She give you tips and discounts. Spend some time drinking tea in room. 😊

Also known as moon reflection river inn. Very nice hotel in good neighborhood. Plenty of restaurants in the area, can book for you to the li river. Probably cheaper than going on line. There is a dock just across the river about 300 meters or so away to take the 2 river four lakes night cruise which should be done. You can book these tickets as well Once again I forgot my walking stick in a taxi, and were ever so helpful in helping me find another. You wont get service like this at most hotels.

Pros: - The price at the hotel is incredible, we paid $27/room and we had a family of 4, so 2 rooms. - Location is excellent. We only stayed here for a night briefly for a layover to take the boat to Yangshuo. Arrived late at night, but lucky to find out that the lights at the Sun Moon Pagoda is still on, and it was a 7 min walk. It is beautiful. Elephant Trunk Hill is also nearby but we didn't go there. Lots of local eats nearby. If you didn't arrange Li River cruise, the hotel can do it and several tour company line up the streets can arrange that. - There is a laundry area, though we didn't use it. Cons: - As a previous reviewer said, it didn't look as posh as the pictures. In fact, I thought it's fairly dark. - Lobby has AC, but hallway didn't. Later on I found that to be quite common in China, but since I was coming from Shanghai, Beijing, Xi'an the larger hotels, this is a bit uncomfortable for me. - Walls are thin. - We had 2 rooms, one of them is good, which has a glassed-enclosed shower stall. The other one didn't. The shower, toilet, sink in one room with nothing to separate the shower. Splashing all over. - Also, one of the room had the sleeping area/living area separate. As a result the AC could only cool down the sleeping area, with the living area being quite uncomfortable. All in all, a good value, okay for a short stay. I'd rank one of the rooms as a four and the other as a 3. If I were to stay longer, I'd request the better rooms.

Stayed here 3 nights. Very comfortable beds. Convenient to get to supermarkets, eating places, night markets, tourist sights, etc. Really liked the helpful tour desk that organised my Li River trip to Yangshuo and taxi ride to Guilin airport was 100 yuan. Had one problem with staying here though. Every night we had to pass many Chinese restaurants which display their animals in cages for customers to pick their choice. If you are an animal lover, it's agonising to see the pitiful critters waiting their turn. For me, it was not a pleasant way to end a day of sightseeing. :(

I stayed here for 2 nights, while using Guilin as a base for exploring the Longji Rice Terraces and other places in the Guangxi area before later heading to Yangshuo. The room was very nice and clean and so was the bathroom. Bed was good and comfy. There was free WiFi in the rooms - connection speed was adequate, but not very fast. You get two bottles of water for free every day. The hotel also has a nice common area on the 2nd floor with a some dining tables. The staff is very friendly and welcoming, and they speak good English. They may also help you with arranging transportation to popular sights in the Guangxi area, e.g. the Rice Terraces or a river cruise to Yangshuo. The hotel also offers free laundry service! The hotel is quite centrally located, and it is a mere 20-30 min. walk to Guilin Railway Station. There are plenty of restaurants, cafés, grocery stores, ATMs, etc. in the area. Price is a bargain - you get extremely good value for money at this hotel. I would absolutely stay here again, and also recommend it for budget travellers. Note! This hotel is listed as Moon Reflection River Inn on booking.com.
