The location is wonderful. It is in a park and the room was very spacious and nice. If you don't speak Chinese, you may have a problem. The staff is not big on customer service which I think is probably due to lack of communication in English. There is a shuttle from the front

Situated within the guilinyi botanical garden, the area around the hotel had lovely walks and interesting plant life. The rooms were well enough equipped with large rooms and private seating are for the first floor rooms. A buffet style breakfast although a bit cold with the

Hotel is in a beautiful garden. Like an oasis in the city. The air smells great. The rooms are nice and spacious. The hotel provides a free shuttle that transports you inside and outside of the park (it runs often so you never have to wait for long).

I have been to Guilin on many occasions and stayed in some very good hotels at reasonable prices, the Guilinyi Hotel appeared to be the only one available at the time of booking. It was more expensive than the other hotels so expectations were high, unfortunately the experience

My room on the first floor, with very private patio, was extremely comfortable but with Chinese furniture and character. Well appointed bathroom. Quiet, nice grounds. The hotel is set in the botanical gardens, with controlled admissions, so there is some delay in motorized

The Li River trip was booked through the hotel. Pay at the front desk. They picked us up at the hotel entrance at 8 a.m. sharp and took us by golf cart to the front gate. Then a driver took us to another pick-up point and we were picked up by a tour bus. The Tour Bus took us to the boat. The trip on the river was about 4 hours and included a box lunch (but you can pay for a better lunch). Once at Yangshuo you have the option of staying overnight or staying in Yangshuo for a couple hours then come back on the bus. The bus back dropped us off at the hotel. We compared the price with several other people on the tour who booked from other hotels and tour operators and we all paid the same price. I don't know if there is an airport shuttle. I think there is, but I didn't book it in advance, so I just took a taxi. As for the Rice Terrace, no idea. You will have to ask the hotel. No idea at all about Club Med. I suggest Google Maps might have a general idea about the proximate distance. Enjoy your trip!

hello - does the hotel have a babysitting service? thanks
I would ask the hotel direct. They seem to be able to arrange anything - good attitude but very poor English. When we were there availability of Western food was also poor.
