We stayed here for 4 nights in August. The staff were really nice and helpful despite there being a bit of a language barrier at times, this is easily solved using a language translation app! The room was huge, it had a lovely bathroom (large bath and a separate shower). The swimming pool was rather small, but it was still nice and situated in a lovely peaceful garden area. The resort as a whole was stunning, surrounded by water and a mixture of koi carp and gold fish. The one thing that made the resort even better was the fact it is situated within the botanical gardens. We thoroughly enjoyed the walk from the entrance of the gardens to the hotel - though it is possible to call for the buggy if needed/wanted. The hotel is in a quiet location, next to a shopping mall and only a short taxi drive to the centre. It was nice to be away from the chaos of a city as such, but close enough to walk to attractions if we wanted to. We really enjoyed our stay in Guilin, and should we return we'd most certainly stay at this hotel again!!

We turned up at around 7pm to be greeted by a guy at the front desk who couldn’t speak one word of English. Sadly we are a lazy and just expect people to speak our language. After a lot of google translate we were given our room key. We had no idea of were the room was or anything about the hotel etc which also meant we didn’t know were breakfast was served. Eventually we found our room and then decided to try and walk around to see if we could find the breakfast area. Once found we asked if there was any supper being served. No one else in there and a very strange looking expensive menu, we decided to leave it. We had noticed a few shops around a mall type shopping area near the entrance so we took the hotel golf cart trip to the entrance by a guy who also couldn’t understand us. There is a mall which has 3-4 places to eat and we managed to grab some food. The next morning we went to breakfast for 8.30am just in case it closed early. We were told it would have full western selection to choose from. I think they meant bread which we toasted and then left. That was the last breakfast we went to in the three days. Back to the golf buggy and down to the mall. The hotel is fine and as others have said it needs an update. You won’t get a better location in the park where it’s so quiet. However the hotel does advertise itself as being suitable for western guests....Wrong.... The rooms are clean and you will get one towel each don’t try and ask for one more for use at the swimming pool this is not allowed and there aren’t anymore available we were told just to use the same towel..... Not really good when you have two children who soak them around the pool. The staff refused point blank to let us have any others. The beds are firm but acceptable Would I stay again.... No sadly not. Would I promote this hotel to western travellers No The staff over the three days were happy and smiley but only one could speak English in the whole hotel. I can’t knock this as we were in China and shouldn’t expect them to speak our language. But please don’t try and market the place to cater for Westerners

The hotel is within the Guilin botanical garden. Taxis cannot go in and an electric car has to be called to pick you up. The grounds are very nice. Our room was on the third floor with no elevator to lift luggage. English does no go beyond thank you. Staff is nice but not professionally trained. Breakfast was quite modest.

The location is wonderful. It is in a park and the room was very spacious and nice. If you don't speak Chinese, you may have a problem. The staff is not big on customer service which I think is probably due to lack of communication in English. There is a shuttle from the front gate to the reception area and back. This is free and very nice feature. We stayed here 2 nights. Breakfast was ok, we did not eat dinner here. It didn't look like anyone else did either. They did suggest the nearby shopping mall to eat and the restaurant next door. We ate at both places.

Situated within the guilinyi botanical garden, the area around the hotel had lovely walks and interesting plant life. The rooms were well enough equipped with large rooms and private seating are for the first floor rooms. A buffet style breakfast although a bit cold with the heaters switched off and the cooked breakfast also cold.
