Excellent Hotel, great English speaking staff who made you feel welcome and at home. Great assitance with booking tours. Good breakfast and excellent location. Can highly recomend to stay here. Nice view of the river and the area is very quiet.
I had different perception abount China,,, Noisy, dirty, rude But my visit to Guilin,China was total different experiance The Province was so clean and had a shock when the road system is free from sound with mostly Hybrid Despite barrier on Language people try to help with their own translation application. It was a wonderful 6 days trip to Guilin Thank you to the wonderful and pretty receptionist of the hotel for the kindness and care showed
The hotel is located a little ways off by the river and offered a river/mountain view with lots of open skies. However, there were no elevators, which meant that you need to carry your luggage upstairs (the staff may help). We stayed in February 2018 and since the weather was much colder than normal, missed the heating systems in room (we're told this isn't a standard feature in the smaller hotels in Guilin). Food was a small breakfast buffet with traditional chinese breakfast items as well as toast, eggs and fruits.
This was our last stop in our 10 day tour of China in October 17. The location was great and we had a view of the river which was amazing. The staff at the reception spoke good English which was a nice surprise and they were very helpful. Great amenities for a hostel. The room is much smaller than what's shown in the photos and the bathroom is tiny. There's no shower curtain and the whole floor gets wet when showering. There is no elevator. The receptionist did offer to take our bags upstairs but we had to bring it down when we were leaving as we didn't want to ask. The breakfast of fried eggs/toast was quite poor. We would have skipped breakfast but we had an early start on both days so we decided to gulp it down. Our travel agent had gone by the photos and 4 star rating when she booked this for us. It's very good for a hostel but if you are looking for facilities of a hotel, this is not it!…
The hotel is located within walking distances to both the train and coach stations as well as to a couple of night markets. Its right by a river thus has more open sky from room windows. I had a room with a small toilet but it doesn't bother me.
