My daughter and I spent 2 nights in April here as we were going to the Rice Terraces and back to Shenzhen. Our heavy luggage was safely stored while we were staying in Dahzhai. We had a room with a single and a double bed, no view from this side of the Inn but fine for just sleeping in. We...

We stayed at the Guilin Lakeside Inn in January 2012 for 1 night on two separate occasions. We had the Lovers Honeymoon Room. This place is such fantastic value for money and in a great location! We had a large room, simple yet nicely furnished, clean, hot water and it was warm (though reverse cycle air conditioner was a bit...

We only stayed for one night as we were in late from a flight and on route to Yangshuo. The Hostel organised the airport pickup that worked out well. The reception people were very pleasant and the room was adequate for our needs with the exception of the very hard bed. The Hostel is located by a beautiful lake with...

We stayed 5 nights in the hostel. The location is excellent, the rooms are cozy and have a warm feel. We had all of them as were 6 and there are 3 rooms. Beds are hard but this is usual in China. The bar downstairs is a big +, especially when returning from a long day out climbing mountains. Definitely...

I have mixed feelings about this humble property. We stayed there for two nights in October. On the plus side it has a great location, right on the lake, which is lovely particularly at night with all the coloured lighting; very Chinese but also very pretty. It is very close to the view of the two pagodas in the middle...

We spent two nights here one night each before and after visiting Yangshuo. The first night we had a lovely tatami room which was spacious with a nice feel to it and a good bathroom. On our return we were in a small double room in an adjacent building with what was one of the most uncomfortable beds that I...
