This Hotel definitely doesn't come close to earning the 4 stars that it's been rated. The only positive for this Hotel is the location. Although it appeared as though we might have been one of very few people staying in the Hotel, we were given rooms right at the back, down a very long, windy, mouldy hallway. The mould smell...

You need to be comfortable with typical Chinese hotels to appreciate this. Receptionists speak very basic English. All the decor is outdated. Very dark. Carpets are old and smell musky. Beds are rock solid. Rooms are dark. TV is 98% Chinese. 2 Hong Kong English channels. Bathroom and showers do not work well. AC temp is cold or very cold....

This hotel a very mediocre hotel, that's absurdly overpriced, costing about the same as the lovely well placed Marriott in Beijing. First irritation is the deposit policy, which is a deposit against mini bar use about equal to the £100 a night room rate. On checking out the mini bar, I found 3 small beers in it, and five more...

The hotel is not in the center of town, but close to the university, which is why we were there. The beds were the softest of the 3-4 star hotels we stayed on in China and there are several good local eating places nearby. The service was good too. If you are looking for a lower price and good quality,...

I stayed at this hotel when I moved to Guangzhou. I stayed in the serviced apartments in the back. My room was fine, but as was stated in previous reviews the beds were so hard that I couldn't sleep. If the person staying in the room above me was smoking, my whole apartment would smell of smoke. The bathroom was...

I liked the room; I found the bed to be very comfortable (despite what others have written about them; maybe they are not all the same). We arrived on the overnight flight from LA so we were exhausted and jet lagged; and they let us check in after 7 a.m. for no additional charge. The room had an electric pot...

The staff try to be helpful, but their command of English is abysmal. I usually had to go through at least 3 different staffers in order to get something as simple as an address to write down for a cab driver. The beds are hard as rocks. The shower curtains have mold on them, and the lighting in the room...

Avoid this Hotel. We attended a show at the Panzou fair grounds recently and booked this hotel because of it's rating on Trip Advisor. In this price range, the Rosedale is a far better choice. This hotel is run down and dirty. I slipped in the shower and fell into the hall. Knowing that at a hotel with unhappy and...

We stayed for 17 nights in a deluxe 2 BR & 2 Bathroom Apartment. We had a balcony with veiws of the Pearl River. The security was excellent. The staff were always helpful and freindly even though some couldn't speak english. The room was always cleaned and serviced daily. Nothing but good things to say about our stay. We will...
