Second visit to W Guangzhou. Received Titanium upgrade to the Fantastic suite to celebrate our wedding anniversary. Greeted and acknowledged my status and every staff I came across was cheerful and friendly . We arrived early and our suite was not ready but our luggage was brought to our room during clean up as I do not want my luggage left at bell desk. I did contact David N who we met on our previous visit. Rose petals was on our bed and bathtub . Balloons on the wall and bottle of wine and a small gift with handwritten notes put a smile on my face. I enjoyed the happy hour at the club lounge as W hotel normally does not have lounge service. Breakfast Buffett is delicious and I particularly enjoy fresh squeeze juices. David N made himself available via Wechat and we feel like we were taken care of 24/7 This is my favourite hotel in Guangzhou !…
Overall experience was a decent one. As a Marriott Titanium Member we received upgraded rooms (Fabulous Room Club Level), breakfast was included and a reasonably efficient check-in. Room was clean & well appointed. The lounge access was unfortunately limited to the hours of 1730-1930 and offered an assortments of food and beverages. The highlight of the several days that we stayed here was the exceptional level of service we received from our host in the lounge - David N! Each night he went above and beyond the expected level of service and was an absolute pleasure to deal with. I would come back to this hotel based on his service alone - Thank-you David!
The experience of Guangzhou W in Liede is below average The services and facilities are underpriced In addition to the location is basically no other bright spot The biggest surprise was getting bitten by mosquitoes while sitting in the Woobar. The Wi-Fi is very poor, often freezes, and the network speed is still very slow; The Welcome fruit is not fresh. The nectarine has scars, and it feels like the previous customer didn't eat it and took it back for reuse; The original color of the hotel is black, and dust will be very conspicuous. In the guest room, you can clearly see a lot of fluffy dust floating on the table, wall, and TV; The environment of the Woobar of the hotel has not been cleaned up. W Hotel is not a villa or a resort. It is located in the CBD of the city center. I was bitten by mosquitoes on my hands and feet during happy hour in the Woobar, exm? It is understandable that the executive lounge is closed due to the COVID-19. When happy hour is transferred to Woobar, the level and quality should not be kept. It provides hot food and some simple drinks and soft drinks, and only red wine is available. White wine, whiskey, rum and other alcohols that the lounge should have gone, and desserts only have one pudding and two chocolate desserts. Clair at W guangzhou did a good job to accomodate my request to celebrate the mother's day with my obsense due to COVID 19 travel restriction. My mom and my ants had spent a good day at W guangzhou and the buffet breadfast was so nice and fresh. THANK YOU AGAIN FOR YOUR HOSPITALITY!!
Do not recommend this hotel anymore to anyone. Am a Marriott Titanium Member, and had been staying in this hotel many times and saw its decline beyond expectation. Never had such service in other Marriott property. Already had no expectation before the trip. Just want to stay with another friend who also book the hotel. So were thinking to give W Guangzhou one last chance after a very bad stay last September. I know from previous experience, there no use for us to give you guys any comments. I know none in this hotel cares. Still, the disappointment was beyond exception for Marriott standards. First of all, none help with luggage and the receptionist was cold and indifferent as usual for W Guangzhou standard. Seems the room isn’t that clean. In this pandemic era, hygiene is most important for us. There leftover hair from pervious guess at bathroom sink and shower. The shower drain is disgusting. The room have smells, had requested air purifier. Thanks for providing promptly. The carpet is filthy. The carpet had so much stains. Feel so filthy, afraid to step on it. There so many little dust balls sticking at Ceiling. Table lamp are crooked. Wire cable exposed in couple places. Desk drawer is broken. The bathroom faucet broken. Toilet washlet’s wash function is not working. Quality of W bath amenity is bad. The letters at conditioner bottle dissolved underwater, making so many black dust at shower. There isn’t any amenity kit in the room, no toothbrush. I can understand if it is for environmental reasons. But if this is the case hotels I had stay in, usually let us know when check in. Other than let guest searching around and call for services. I think that’s the basic. Every time request things took around half an hour to deliver. Lucky the beds clothes were clean but had broken edges. And during the night, there noise from drainage. I think that water from upstairs. The water noise is so annoying. Which affects our sleeps. From check in to the quality of the room, nothing up to the standards of the hotel price. I respect those in hospitality industry, it lots of hard work. I hate to complain, but this really beyond my tolerance. Last September had text problems fount desk and got no reply. This time also no reply. Understand that W Guangzhou culture, staff on duty could have cared less that we were unsatisfied. I don’t mean to brother any of you, it just becomes hopeless. Just want to express myself. Since last year tried Jumeirah and Rosewood, with these experiences really don’t think I will ever come back.…
