I was with my family and found this hotel comfortable. It is very close to the mosque and may be very good option for family and elder people. They have very good breakfast. Didn't see much option for lunch and dinner.

The al anwaar movenpick is a huge hotel extending from gate 15 right towards gate 16. It has 2 different towers and opens in four different directions. Negotiating this is still very confusing. Lots of shopping in center and around the 4 sides of the building. The central shop is Bin Dawood. Luxury towels comfortable beds for the weary traveler. It is 5 star on terms of luxury. Breakfast was not too much to my liking but they catered for all nationalities so granted it's not one sided and food is a bit bland to suit all tastes. The in room dining pricey but excellent. I tasted the chicken biryani. Coffee break restaurant had a great schwarma with falafel and pizzas excellent. I stayed in room 12022. I have no complaints this hotel is best located great overall food. Good housekeeping and very neat and tidy although busy.

We spent 2 nights at this hotel; first, the receptionist doesn't speak English, and gave us a bad room, then we tried to contact them to change it, they sent the bellman for a worse room. What made our stay worse, that my wife was asking the security guard (who was talking on the phone!!!) in front of the elevator about the closest restaurant (After 10 pm), the guard refused to shut his call and refused to answer my wife's question and when she asked him about if he can answer her question, he started to be angry at her and shouts/yells at her. I contacted the night manager who seemed not interested or doesn't understand the problem. The next day I received a call from the receptionist (I think is arrogant to call guests himself) who asked about the incident, and I explained that Saudia Arabia could be a third world country, but when they host people from different countries, they should be culturally ready for that. She apologized and that's it! Rooms are not the best. The only advantage is the location. Locals there are not ready to deal with people with humanity. Finally, it is the worst Movenpick hotel I've ever stayed at.

I had 4 seniors with me and there were no rooms together, actually the rooms given to us were in different towers so we paid extra and got the upgrade. The upgraded rooms even were just ok but does the job. Its super close to gate number 15 and I can't fault the location.
