Dar Al Taqwa Hotel's enviable proximity to the Masjid al Nabawi entrance endears it to travelers, who also appreciate its clean rooms and the overall ambiance that exudes a sense of class despite its age. Guests have called out the tea garden and breakfast buffet as highlights, although the hotel's dining options are sometimes criticized for lacking value. While the service is generally lauded for its friendliness and efficiency, some visitors have noted issues with housekeeping. The hotel location is excellent. The breakfast buffet is outstanding. Hotel services is very good except for the house-keeping room cleaning and need improvement especially in cleaning the cutlery and glassware, supplying bath towels, hand towels, shampoo, body gel, lotion replacement as we have to call the reception almost everyday to get them. The coffee maker in the room was great but there's no capsule and have to call the reception again and again for refill. At one point the cleaner was telling us that there's only 2 of them cleaning the floor and that's why it take some times for the room to get cleaned. The dinner buffet is too pricey with limited food selections.

Very near to Masjid al Haram, Madinah
Excellent for families, and those who could not walk long distance. Comparatively near to rawdah entrance.

Carpet design does not suite the ambience of hotel room. It is more suited for apartment hotel. Water pressure can be little more. Restaurant breakfast is good, however ordered items for lunch in room not good. We ordered meat and chicken biryani, but the supplied food taste does not like any authentic biryani. Meat also was not well done. Chicken was ok. Hence we could not ordered food from Restaurant any more. Sudden disturbance for quality check either in person in room or over phone during stay can be avoided, as pilgrims mostly sleep either in day or night times depending upon their schedule. It can be done during checkout. There was a sudden knock at middle of night delivering some bed sheet etc, by mistake, may be for other rooms, these small things could be avoided by listening to proper room number of guest. Complimentary fruit basket was delivered very late almost 3 hrs after checkin.

Picked this hotel just because of it's location.
Check-in: The room initially given was like a capsule. Recepetionist was helpful in changing room and the room was spacious with the exception of dated and sagged couch.
Bellboy/Porter brought the luggage to first checed in room and just put it on the floor and left with no smile or courtesy to place the bag on stand (despite tip). After room change, waited for an hour for the porter to show-up and give the keys for the room. Called twice and finally collected keycard from the reception. The receptionist said porter will bring the luggage to your new room. Waited for another hour, followed up with receptionist who apologized without anyone showing up. Lugged my luggage by myself to the room.
Breakfast: Quality good, clean, fresh and replenished regularly, variety lacking, service missing the point, Eggstation chef not comfortable with English and hit/miss, overcrowded and crammed with dining tables. Irrespective of what section of the morning you come for breakfast and which table you choose, can not finich breakfast without discomofort of getting up or making others uncomfortable to get up to get food.
Tea Lounge spacious seating arrangement but lacks again variety for snacks
Room service:
Only 2 experiences, first time waited for unlimited time. Food was ok, service again poor like slammed in my face
2nd time was told 45 minutes, waited 90 minutes, no courtesy call to apologize for delay, called duty manager with surprisingly no action/apology. Cancelled order after almost 2 hours.
Amenities: Was told that only small size bath gowns are available in the hotel and there is no other size.
Pillows very firm, did not use toiletries so can't comment
Tea station potlight was not working and was not fixed in 7 days
Could clearly see unfriendly gesture and body language (made me absolutely uncomfortable and akward) when asked for payment receipt printout as was not offered ereceipt.
Can add few more but may be out of frustration I would exaggerate. Overall the hotel is not for non local people. Visible preferential treatment noticed on numerous occasions whether queued to see the staff memeber or requesting any service. Only stay if you speak local language,

I stayed at Daral Taqwa as part of a Hajj package from TMG (Travel Mate Group). This hotel is the best of both worlds, i.e. Haram access and facilities. The room is congested, even between myself and my wife, but as soon as we saw the Haram through the window adjacent to the hotel, you forget everything. Masjid e Nabwi is basically about 25-50 feet from the exit if the hotel. The beds were outstanding, including pillows, both soft and firm types on each double bed. Spacious bathroom, but toilet seat and bidet congest it significantly. There are 2 sinks, however 1 larger sink would be more adequate. Shower stall is also spacious. Food was great, and service was remarkable. I would like to personally commend the Food and Beverage Director/Manager as well as the staff Hilal Ahmad and Arif from the breakfast staff who went above and beyond by all measures.

Excellent hotel and great staff members. The haram view suite was amazing! The reception staff are very helpful and kind. Breakfast was great! I recommend to the hotel managers to provide a prayer area for women, facing the haram as the same area you provide to men. I was told that the existing room is only for men. Rather than this, everything else went very well during my stay in Feb, 2020.

Dar Al Taqwa has the advantage of prime location facing the Haram, making it easy, convenient and worthwhile for Pilgrims. In addition personalized attention and class service adds value to the Hotel. Rooms are large, airy and cosy with well stocked washrooms. A great, memorable and enjoyable experience.

Stayed at Dar Al Taqwa in Madina and it was a most pleasant experience. The staff were very friendly and attentive, the Iftar buffet was excellent with a huge variety to suit every taste/culture. The bathroom is clean and tidy and has toiletries.
The hotel’s proximity to Gate #25, the women’s gate, is a HUGE advantage for ladies. Will definitely stay there again isA.

The best hotel in Madinah al Munawwarah, hands down! Best service, best view, best location, best dinner… best!!! Impeccable dishes in the dinner buffet, great food in the tea lounge, and breakfast is included. Huge shoutout to Mr Muhammad Ahmed, executive manager of housekeeping, and Mr Ahmad the reservations manager who made this stay possible for us and our experience unforgettable. Every employee we interacted with was great, special recognition goes to Shuhag and Mamun and Mubarak and Rafiq in housekeeping. Abdullah and Muhammad Abu Syed in the restaurant, Hassan, Hamza and Shoaib in the concierge/bellman service. I’m sure I’m forgetting some names but, everyone will treat you like royalty. Thank you Dar Al Taqwa for an amazing stay. We will be coming back soon, inshaAllah!

Great service at the Tea Garden. Osman Ibrahim was great and very helpful.
The room was good and the hotel’s location is right in-front of the Women’s entrance to the prayer area of Masjid al Nabawi which made it very convenient. I would definitely try to stay here again in future visits to al Madinah.

Hotel provided electric kettle, teabags, instant coffee sachets, sugar, cups, etc. There was also a fruit plate on day of checkin. Daily housekeeping n room makeup is provided, but it is usually on request n even sometimes not in your absence as per security policy of hotels in Makkah n Madinah. But you better expect some delays In Hajj days. It'll kwep your blood pressure under control. 🙂 You may read my review too. Best of luck. 🙂

Just 2 or 3 minutes from the hotel gate to be inside the mosque then depend in your gate no 23 to 25 you will walk 5 minutes inside the mosque Best time to visit: Women: 8:10 am Men: 6:8 am and 1:3 pm Don't think about room condition because it's very comfortable whatever it's size meanwhile most of the time you will be in the mosque, shopping or Resturant Wish you nice and safe trip
