I think this is the first time in 20 yrs travelling I give one star to a hotel. Location, staff, cleanness, view are all perfect, nothing to complain of. But my Lord, who on Earth came up with that weird and dysfunctional design of the standard rooms? A huge column containing an improvised wardrobe right in the middle of the room, a washbasin in the room and not in the bathroom, so that you certainly wake up your companion if you want to wake up early and brush your teeth... But wait, bathroom! Which has, as this madness becomes a norm cross the globe, walls made of glass and totally transparent. I mean, nothing wrong with being exhibitionist in your private room, but far from every couple I know really feels the urge of watching each other showering. A toilet physically separated from the bathroom is simply another cherry on top of this tart already full of cherries. Not to mention the cheap-looking fake wood all over the place. And all that for a premium price. Look at Hyatt Regency in Moscow, which is way better and totally classy. Did you really need to make things look and work so weird? Total disappointment.…
Stayed many times. Good standard hotel with attentive service. Currently restaurant and other facilities open. Rooms are good with great views. Good level of English at reception and restaurant. Easy walking distance of central square area. Taxis are cheap.
The Hotel is perfectly mathching with Hyatt level of services ... Nothing bad to say as i have spend a very nice time there in a nice room, and with a the best comfort and all other services going with ! Breakfats is ver good with lot of international food, and the WELLNESS CENTER is amazing with a pool surrounding all the city on the 20th floor ! Fantastic !
Location is great. We were performing at the famous Yeltsin Center, which was across the street - 3 minute walk. We walked into the center of town each night to go to the mall and cafes. Try Mamas cafe if you get the chance. 1 block down from the mall. Breakfast: excellent spread People were paying to come here for breakfast that weren’t guests of the hotel. Our rate included breakfast. Rooms: They circular headboards wrap around the room which look very cool, but between that and the circular closet which becomes a huge column in the middle of the room, it’s not a great use of space. Bathrooms BEWARE Toilet is a separate WC. Shower is all glass and whoever is in the room with you can see you shower. You wouldn’t be able to share a room with someone that wasn’t your partner. LOBBY: lobby is nice. Has a bar The negative is the security and metal detector that you have to go through each time you enter the hotel. All of your bags need to get X-ray’d each time. It’s a small inconvenience, but seems unnecessary Karaoke: there was karaoke in the main door club most of the 5 nights we stayed there. It didn’t bother us in our rooms which were on higher floors. Just FYI. We went to the front desk one day to ask for change -we only had larger Rubles and they acted like we were asking a lot. We changed the equivalent of $30 USD into smaller bills, then when the next person asked to do the same, they said they didn't have any change. We called for a taxi to Greenwich mall it was approx $10 USD - we charged it to our room…
Great place to stay. Sauna pool inviting to relax after working day . Breakfast is rich and well placed and service is nice and polite. Not the first time . Premises needs some upgrades there and there.
