This campground was in the past 10 years WAS such a wonderful place to stay for me Nd my family Not now this why I am doing a review. SO if you out of state and travel through dont stay . They made me take a crappy camp site even though I was first inline. Used to be first come first serve. The next day the site I WANTED wasn't used ! My camper is 50amp just like the other sites that was held. I was in line at 1130am and they are saving spots for campers that come in later in day or even come at All! SAD. The ranger held the site for someone that didn't show this happen several times last year. This practice goes on every week .That leads to alot of the Rangers they treat us campers as kids they talk ugly and disrespectful! Now the reason the new park Manager she has ruin this campground. For all the years I have camped at Forest lake the Adults have played Vollyball in the pool this is a great workout for us older folk! But not again She has stated no volleyball will be allowed this summer! The park manager tried to get rid of the Vollyball last year Wow let's just take away More amenities! Way to go Manager! She just made me cancel my membership many others will do the same. So much drama with her and this campground So to my regular friends who travel though the summer and know how much fun you have playing volleybal its not Allowed! this year The kids will now have 2 pools .. and that's another thing the manager let's kids in just diapers in the pool! They leak and shut down the pool ! It happen last year in the middle of summer 2 pools closed in Aug. Yes we had pool closed for over a week because of this Since she became manager the campers have lost amenities treated like crap by the employees drama all the time . No money is being spent on the campground its nasty bathrooms not cleaned put put coarseis run down no fire works for the 4th You see kids in pool 12 and under no adult supervision! A kid could drown! Park manager is the reason . I just canceled my membership I hate I had to do it

Have visited this campground on multiple occasions. Typically, provide a four star rating, but this time, we did not experience the same level of service and help.perhaps, the campground was short on staff due to the holidays, but we had an average experience this time. We do not care for Cabin 8 where we stayed. Prefer cabins 6, 13 or 14.

Resort is not appealing for short stays. Most sites are for permanent vacation or fulltime living. Need to be able to specify type of site needed (30 vs 50 amps). Having to change sites was very annoying. Dump receptacle was higher than camper location making dumping of waste more difficult and time consuming. Site had obviously not been cleaned from previous stay (pumpkins left behind and had to be moved to get into site.

Our stay was in a Lakeside Cabin that permitted pets. The cabin was sufficient for our need. Centrally located between Winston-Salem, Concord- Charlotte area. 20 minutes from Tanglewood Park. This is a large campground for all types of camping.
