A picturesque place in Lystvianka with friendly prices and a nice atmosphere. Very close to the main road with nearby supermaket and restaurants. The rooms were clean and have in suite toilet, outside shared shower. There is a communal place where tea and coffee are served in the morning. Friendly owner who does not speak much English.

We stopped for 3 days to break up our train journey and had the luck to find the Hotel Deverenka. Andrei the owner arranged for us to be picked up from the train and we arrived at the hotel in about an hour. The chalets although basic had everything we needed. The shower is in a small shed on its own and was much appreciated after several days on the train. There was a communal room in the main building that had tea and coffee facilities and Andrei let us use the fridge. The hotel is located about a 10 minute walk from the town centre but there were a couple of restaurants near by that were very good( we used the Listvyanka Club several times, good food and close by) as well as a small market. There were also other hotels with restaurants further up the valley from our hotel but we never got round to visiting. There was access to the pebble beach at the bottom of the hill (a 2 minute walk) which provided a welcome chance to cool down at the end of the day. Andrei himself was very helpful, running us into town in his car to point out the ATM and give us a quick look at the place when we first arrived. This Hotel, a collection of chalets , has a wonderful relaxed and peaceful atmosphere with great views over the lake and plenty to see and do nearby.

I stayed a day Derevenka and found the location and premises to be great and price reasonable. Derevenka is right off the road that runs along Baikal, so is about 100 meters from the shore. There are seven 'cottages' on the premises. There are stores and restaurants within 5-10 minute walking distance. The owner is very friendly and can help organize trips. I was there mainly to photography and the owner (Andrei) should me around the village and introduced me to people to photograph. The homes are all made of wood. I found my bed comfortable. There are W/C on the inside, but not showers. There are facilities for barbecuing, but I didn't try it. I actually never bothered to inquire about food as was there only for 24hrs and were several places to eat nearby. In the morning, I walk to the local store to get some yougurt/water for breakfast. Finally, the wifi was hit and miss in my room, though it did work in the main eating room. I would definitely stay here again and would certainly use Andrei's services in organizing any trip around Baikal. Having spent a good two hours with him, I found Andrei to be a very friendly and trustworthy individual.

This place has comfortable cabins, with bathrooms (but not showers - that's in the main building) and a stove for winter heating. It's right in the middle of the rather strung-out village of Listvyanka, and we loved its location and its simplicity. One night, we had a steam in the banya on site, which is definitely worth doing - so relaxing!

I stayed in the Hotel Derevenka 3 days/2 nights and I liked it very much. It is situated very close to Baikal (on the small hill). As I stayed in the “Barguzin” cottage/chalet, I also had a view to Baikal and from other side to the small, beautiful chapel/monastery. I loved my chalet named “Barguzin” - wooden, stylish, specious and with heated floor (I stayed on the groud floor). There was also a toilet inside. There was also TV in my room but axially I did not use it ;-) The “Bania” was located in the main building and I have to say it was one of the nicest Bania in the Siberia :-) We had breakfasts and dinners there – all meals were very delicious (really very delicious!). WIFI was also available, although the best quality was in the main building. Well, the only disadvantage was no shower in a cottage but as the “Barguzin” cottage is situated very close to the main building, we did not have a long way to Bania.
