Arrived at probably the coldest city on Earth, in February, Irkutsk, with the temperature at -20, with the sun shining. The Hotel looked fine, and the sign outside was made of ice, with the car park appearing to be also. The Europa had a lady who mopped the floor continuously due to snow being brought in on people's feet, and I ordered a very cheap but, tasty coffee. The front desk was very helpful, with a polite, cheerful, young man called Stephen, able to speak English (A great help). The staff were excellent, and as the only Englishman probably brave enough to visit Siberia in winter, I became very friendly with all of them during my stay. The two for special mention were; Angelina, and Olga, with onother girl on the front desk also delightful (Forgot name, apologies). The room was fabulous for what I wanted, and the food excellent. Fantastic stay there for those who want to explore, without the fussiness of larger hotel chains, can't wait to visit again, very warm, and clean,

We stayed here for a night on a Trans-Mongolian journey. It was a fairly average hotel. The room was a little tired and basic but it was reasonably sized and breakfast was ok. And not a bad location in Irkutsk too.

I stayed in a single room and a small suite. The single room is very small indeed but I guess ok for a night. The suite was lovely and I really enjoyed staying there. The restaurant is great but breakfast isn't very good. The staff are nice but really not that efficient and this spoiled the overall experience for me.
