Probably the best thing about the hotel is its location - very central and close to numerous restaurants and a good sized mall, as well as the river and sights of Irkutsk. The double room we booked was small to medium in size, but clean and well appointed. The concept of ordering breakfast the night before was a little strange, however adequate in quantity with nice pastries/yogurts/freshly cooked eggs and pancakes. Price of the hotel was rather high for a 3 star property, however it appears that most of the hotels in Irkutsk are somewhat expensive. Would stay here again.
We had a very pleasant two night stay here on our recent trip to Russia. The room was clean and comfortable with a good shower room and toiletries. You have to order your breakfast on the previous evening which turned out to be very adequate with freshly cooked eggs if you wished. The decor of the hotel is like a traditional Russian log building, quite unique in style and the location is close to a shopping mall and tourist shops. All the staff were friendly and welcoming.
Hotel located in a very trendy pedestrian area of refurbished old wooden buildings, with plenty of restaurants and bars to chose from. Newer hotel, built in the traditional wooden style. Very comfortable bed, spacious room, clean functional bathroom. Receptionists are professional, friendly and speak English. There is no elevator, so mobility handicapped people should request a lower floor room in advance. Breakfast is pre-ordered the night before, and served either in the small common room, or in the bedroom. Enjoyed my stay there very much, especially after a longish train ride.
I booked one of the studios with a balcony - lots of space, the room was very well maintained and I really enjoyed the experience; especially after three days on the train! Reception was always friendly. The room even had a balcony and I could sit outside in the sun mid-February. In case you're not familiar with Russia: Russians typically like it very warm inside their rooms so the room was according to German standards overheated. But you can always open a window. Very happy with my stay!
This is a quirky, very "Russian" hotel. It was very comfy and clean. The staff went out of their way to be helpful. The first room I was given had a window which was too high to look out of and the staff changed me into another room without any problem. The location is brilliant.
