We stayed at the TransSib Hostel last November, in the beginning of our four month journey. We really wanted a room for ourselves after three nights on a friends couch in Moscow and three nights in the Trans-Siberian train, so we asked the hostel if we could pay for one extra bed to get the room all to ourselves. Turns out we didn't have to - the hostel was completely empty except for us, so we had the whole flat to enjoy, all for the price of two dorm beds! Turns out November isn't really the biggest tourism season in Siberia, who would've thought...

The hostel was really clean, smack in the middle of the city and you get a free meal at the English school cafe, which is a very nice place. We could even wash our own laundry for free in the hostel! We also booked a half-day tour in the Stolby area with Anatoli, who speaks excellent english and is a wonderful guide. Do a tour with these guys and stay at their hotel, you won't be disappointed!

My original plan didn't include during winter-adventure of Trans-Siberian Railway end of this year, until the 10 rubles' note. It should have some special if there is widely published, i.e.: the note. As the result, I stay 4 days with 2 days in this hostel.

The address is located in the city centre with 1st floor without lift, this is no problem for me to pick up 23kg luggage, Don't forget the difference between hotel, motel, hostel and B&B.

If you refer my photos taken, it has already been the reality. The price includes 200 rubles coupon of the cafe with map. It is worth even though you pay it.

The facilities are included 1 shared toilet, 1 shared bathroom, 1 shared kitchen, 1 common area, 1 single room, 1 4-bed dormitory room, 1 3-bed dormitory room and paid laundry, the color decoration is very mild and comfortable as shown in pictures, all levels of age should be happy. The owner is well of English and there is no problem of communication.

Only 2 picky are roof soundproof a little bit below average and floor a little bit not flat, I can accept but it may be not for all of you. Anyway, overall rating is up to average.

This was a brilliant place and really homely. The owner, Anatoliy, is so friendly. We stayed in the dorm room for one night before moving across to the 3-person room which you could book out as a twin. The kitchen is good and had everything you needed. Everything was clean. We went on a 1 day trip around Stolby which we enjoyed. I'd definitely recommend stopping off here to break up the trans sib journey!

The place itself is very good, a nice apartment perfectly located. A bit hard to find on your own.

Olga was extremely helpful with everything. Did not take any tours, so cannot comment on those.

Laundry a reasonable 200 rubles, station pickup triple what a taxi charges, charge for leaving bags after checkout. The cafe was apparently closed so no meal vouchers, or substitute.

We visited the Sibtourhostel in Krasnoyarsk and used services of Sibtourguide Anatoliy. He accompanied us for a guided tour of Tackmak Rock in Stolby and also picked us up for free from the train and dropped us at airport for a reasonable fee.

The hostel is clean and cosy and well situated near the station and in the city centre with lots of things to do.

Anatoliy is very friendly, speaks excellent English, is reliable and a knowledgeable person. He has a lot of knowledge about the area and explained about the city and the area. He advertised fro us on facebook to let others join in to make the excursion we did to Tackmack rock even more affordable.

I have travelled a lot, but hardly seen such hospitality and friendliness and above all the hostel and all of activities are great value for money. The diner at the English school was also great.

We experienced brilliant sunshine and almost +20 degrees in beginning of April in Siberia!

If you happen to stop at Krasnoyarsk on your trans-Siberian journey, SibTourGuide Hostel is best value for your money. Right at the center of the city on its major avenue. Anatoliy and Aleksandr are great hosts. They offer interesting trips to Stolby Park and surrounding areas. I would have taken them if I prepared for them and had time to do it. No pressure exerted on me though. Stop by the English School Cafe and chat with the Chatters Club if you are interested in engaging with young local professionals in English conversations.

This was probably the best place I stayed during my month in Russia. It has everything you need, it's clean, and it's cheap too! A great base for exploring Krasnoyarsk, but also an invaluable resource if you want to see the areas surrounding the city. The owner Anatoliy is helpful, friendly, and all-around good guy. He went out of his way to make sure we found the hostel, and organised an incredible two day trek for us in the Stolby Nature Reserve. You won't regret staying here.

We stayed at the TranSib Hostel last May for 2 nights. It was offered by the local tour guide Anatoliy Brewhanov who is also the owner of the Hostel. We didn’t have much expectation at the beginning as we thought this is a small town anyway comparing with Moscow and St. Petersburg. However, it turns out the service we’ve got is very well exceeding the amount we’ve been charged. We’ve got a 3-bed room and are also the only customer during our stay (the Hostel just recently started operation at that moment). The Hostel was really clean and located at the center of the town. The room charge also includes a free meal coupon issued by a near-by English School Café, a very nice café with friendly staff and the food was great too. Anatoliy is an excellent guide and speaks very good English. We had a great day spent in the Stolby Reserve area. He shared with us how life was like in Krasnoyaski/ Russia and also his own life experience. Thanks to Aantoliy’s hospitality, our 2-days spent in Krasnoyaski made this trip an unforgettable one. We highly recommend you to book a tour with Anatoliy and stay at the TranSib Hostel if you travel over there.
