We have a perfect 4 nights stay in this hotel. Two dinners in the restaurant and 4 breakfasts were in according to our taste. Recommended. Good location, 30 minutes by taxi or 50-55 minutes by public transport from Pulkovo. (e.g. Bus 39 + Bus 3, or Bus 39 + Metros) The closes metro station is about 5-6 minutes, the bus/tram stop is 3-4 minutes. You can buy travel cards at the metro station 1,2..7 days, and it counts the minutes so it is really worth to buy. Good beds/beddings, comfortable bathroom. Excellent staff, really helpful. No question you will think that you may/should come back to St. Petersburg and to this hotel.

booked this hotel from the night before as we had a very early arrival. Upon arrival we had to stand and wait for the receptionist who was asleep. Security guard asked us to ring the bell which we did but nothing happened. He then ranged it himself and again nothing. In the end he had to go and wake the girl up so we could check in. The rooms are standard old Ibis style but our bed sheets did not feel fresh at all. they weren't dirty but had a funny smell like they must have been changed weeks ago and no one stayed there for a while. We had a fridge in the room but it wasn't working. the downstairs bar was where we went to claim our arrival drink which took ages to be served and the service was very lukewarm and so was the coffee. wished the 2 ladies behind the bar knew how to acknowledge a guest and how to smile. the next day we approach reception as we needed our boarding passed printed and the young lady behind reception was extremely helpful and cheerful.

The hotel is located very close to the Moskovsky railway station, about 10 minutes on foot at a leisurely pace.
A girl trainee served at the reception; she tried very hard and did not cause any rejection in her communication.
The room itself had two separate beds, everything was clean and cozy, just what you needed to spend the night and get yourself in order before another educational day.
Toilet paper, disposable toiletries and other towels were available.
Breakfast is a buffet, there is quite a large selection to suit every taste.
In general, I recommend it, including due to the cost of the rooms being lower than that of competitors located in the same part of the city.

If you have long had the urge to feel longing for your current place of residence and dream of returning home, welCome (*welcome) to Ibis!

For starters, Ligovsky Avenue is an unbearable place for lovers of beauty and even minimal tranquillity. What's going on here is beyond words. The narrow sidewalks that crowds walk on, everything in the garbage, the flow of cars as if it were the only street in town, day and night, moreover, for most drivers there are no rules of the road. There is no greenery in town. For me, this was critical, as you can only walk your dog in one single park within a 5-minute walk of the hotel. And walking down such a street in a dog (who really wants to go to the toilet), making it through the crowd, is such a pleasure. By the way, this park is closed for the night, so it turns out there's nowhere to go.

When you enter the lobby, "children" will be waiting for you at the reception, apparently unable to do their job qualitatively (further explain why). From the pleasant - free water with cucumber/lemon to choose from in the summer. That's where the few pleasures come to an end.

In the room you can expect a surprise in the form of absolute staff indifference to cleaning, more like roulette, will be noticed/not noticed. But this time, there was a puncture in the form of a rubber band left by past guests, so we had to clean the room. But here again it is not so simple, it would seem that what could be worse for the reputation of the hotel than a completely untidy room, with dirty linens, stains on towels, hair and dust on all possible surfaces??? For Ibis, the situation seems to be normal, as they allow themselves to keep guests waiting for 30 minutes “while the cleaner takes the elevator” after calling the reception. “You must, you wait,” I conclude, is the motto here. After the cleaning incident we were promised a compliment from the hotel, which never happened :(

Another absurdly stupid thing is the lack of nets on the windows in the rooms, thanks for the air conditioning, BUT with the windows closed in the room, MOSQUITOES kept popping up, and not one, not two, in a day of about 10. The funny thing is, apparently, it's provided for, because every room has a fumigator. Speaking of rooms, very noisy air conditioning and uncomfortable pillows.

The next weird thing is parking. To enter the parking lot to your car you need to go to the reception, wait for a special person to attach their card to the reader in a separate elevator and escort you to the parking lot. And so every time... well, let's assume it's for the good, for your safety.

Pros: delicious breakfasts! and lunches! At least something smoothed out my shaky Ibis nerves. Cozy area of the restaurant, a large selection of food in the morning, even the possibility to bake a waffle yourself :) From the pros - all :)

Hotel of a famous brand, all clean and neat, but very "tired" and clearly needs updating. There are no water bottles - it is suggested to free the world from excess plastic and go with a jug in the hallway to the cooler. The bathroom had tooth utensils (short brush and paste), slippers. There was also a fumigator in the room, but I was lucky not to.
Breakfast buffet for 900 rubles was not charged - there are many cafes nearby. They offer business lunch from 300-something rubles. Business breakfast should also be offered)))

We have been to hotels of this chain many times in different countries and cities, including the same hotel in 2022, and we have always been satisfied with everything, service, combination of price and quality, cleanliness, etc. In August 23, during our next visit to the Ibis in St. Petersburg, we were greatly disappointed, a frankly dirty room (seeds on the floor, smeared mosquitoes and blood from them on the walls, dirty windows, etc.), after asking attention to the cleaning, the situation did not change. The air conditioner in the room does not work, when the mode is turned on to the lowest temperature, the air conditioner only makes noise, but does not cool, while the window practically does not open due to the lock being locked, the room is unbearably stuffy. In addition, for some reason they removed the water from the rooms, leaving coolers in the corridors, the water from which must be poured into poorly washed and unpleasantly smelling carafes and cups. It’s a shame to be so disappointed in a familiar and beloved hotel, but I have no desire to return.

Very nice and cozy rooms. Rooms are very small but cozy. I went there in extreme winters but rooms were capable off to cope up with the extreme winter. Buffet breakfast is very nice. Spread at breakfast was also very nice, being an Indian I could find good filling in the morning for breakfast. Nicely located not very close to centre but centre is at walking distance.

As a first-time visitor to St Petersburg I wanted an Ibis Hotel close to public transport. This one is a five-minute walk from the Metro and quite close to the nearest tram stop. Was too busy to check out the amenities but I had a clean comfortable room and nothing to grumble about during my stay. Would definitely stay here again

We initially booked and paid for a room with a double bed, but instead we were allocated a triple room for people with disabilities, with narrow beds. The shower is leaking, the water is pouring from the other side) there is a kettle in the room, but there is no tea bag, if you check in late, they offer you just boiling water)
Not worth the money paid, unfortunately this is no longer the ibis it was a couple of years ago.
