swissSTAR is the swiss managed B&B in the historical centre of the city. Located directly at the river Fontanka, our cosy B&B is 200m from the 3 metro stations Ploshad Sennaya / Sadovaya Ulitsa / Spassky.
Offering 8 rooms and a specious, fully equipped kitchen, we are big enough to handle small groups and family gatherings, yet small enough to provide all guests with our full attention. swissSTAR - swiss hospitality in the historical centre of St.Petersburg.
Perfect location at SPB center. Everything nesessary for stay there and Freedom with teasty breakfast. Amiable staff and all Information for arriving/ stay given. Rooms and kitchen are fine and very clean.
This place is right on the Fontanka Canal and is convenient to Metro Stations, (Sennaya Pl and Sadovaya and Spasskaya), maybe 5 minutes walk away. It is also close to a really good shopping mall with a great food court. We walked to the Faberge Museum (along the same Canal), to the Hermitage, to Peter and Paul Fortress among other places from the SwissSTAR. The place is really well run by Irina who was so helpful. The place is really clean, it is difficult to spot but Irina sent very clear instructions and it was just where she said it was! The food provided for breakfast (self cooked) was fresh and varied. We had a double room with a shared bathroom and the room, although it faced the canal and there was a bit of traffic noise, was very comfortable. the bathroom was convenient to the room and it was always spotless. I would certainly stay there again if I were lucky enough to go to St Petersburg again.…
Really good accomodation and very friendly staff. It was a but difficult to find with as there are no signs and the building is very low key. The only way to get in ia to ring the number on booking but we did not have a roaming phone to call so had to find a nice local to call for us. More tham made up for by the great stay we had with free brekfast and newly renovated rooms. Would stay again if I have roaming mobile :)
I really like the very central location of this B&B one long block away from the only station where three metro lines intersect. Getting to most places in St. Petersburg was an easy train ride away. Also very close are a great street market and a many stores/restaurants. I was with a friend who, like me, likes to walk: the Hermitage area is no more than 15-20 min. walk away and so is St. Isaac. Our room was very spacious with two large closets, mini fridge and hallway between the bathroom and the bedroom. The breakfast in the morning offered many choices and guests have the choice of cooking if the they choose and to use the large fridge in the kitchen. The WiFi worked well in our room and a bit less in the kitchen, so we did our research and planning before breakfast. Irine, who takes care of the B&B is incredibly helpful going beyond the call by helping us getting a SIM card for our phones at the nearby mall. Neither my friend nor I speak any Russian so her support was invaluable. She was always very friendly and we have enjoyed many conversations with her. The B&B is very clean, and quiet even if at the second floor facing, at least for our room on a secondary street. All together a very good experience.…
We stayed here for five nights in April and were upgraded in a better room. The B&B and the rooms were super clean, the location is very good (central and calm). The breakfast (self-service) is very nice too : bread, eggs, cereals, yoghurts, bacon, cheese, tea, coffee, orange juice. Irina, the manager, is very nice, helpful and responsive. We warmly recommend !
