My wife reviewed this hotel for Accor and was very complimentary but let me add how pleased we were with the staff (so welcoming and professional), with the bar and breakfast room, and with our room (junior suite 2602). Our 2 weeks were perfect in all respects, all the more so as the marvellous concierge Tatiana arranged all our outings--she is a gem. The guests are far more respectable than at the SO where we stayed last year (no body guards with bulging pockets, no shady characters, etc.). It is worth the extra money to book a junior suite as they are large, very comfortable, and reasonably priced. The management should turn the heating down because the rooms are too hot even though we turned off all the radiators (a recurring problem in Russia, I know). The situation is ideal as the hotel is one block from Nevski and close to buses, trolleys, and a metro line, which we used all the time to go everywhere (the transit services in St. P. are just incredibly clean, safe, reliable, and easy to use). There are so many lines to choose from that we never waited for more than 5 minutes (invaluable when it is very cold which it wasn't when we were there). We shall certainly be back.

It was my first stay in this hotel, as a frequent customer of ACCOR I selected this hotel because of it´s location and price. I was surprised by the quality of all services, the efficiency of the personal, big variety of a food during the breakfast etc. In general I may suggest this hotel not only for business travellers, but also for tourists, as they may feel like at home there. Nice and clean rooms.

Rooms were comfortable clean and quiet. Staff fantastic - very approachable and halpful. Toilets were in a seperate room within the hotel room and did not have their own vanity unit. One had to walk around to the main bathroom to wash hands . Not a major issue. Restaurant for both dinner and breakfast was excellent.

The hotel is very well situated on Newsky Prospekt, ideally situated to discover the city. I was there for 4 days with my daughter and the lady (sorry I forgot asking her name) at the reception was extraordinary helpful and nice with us. She gave us maximum information on what we needed to see. She explained us how to go to Tsarskoe Selo searching for us all the different buses, writing us in Russian for the driver.
Breakfast and rooms wvery good but this is no surprise for a Novotel hotel!
I strongly recommend fellow tourists to go to Novel St Petersburg Centre, taking advantage of the new electronic visa, which is very easy to obtain compared to the usual visa.

Bright, comfortable bedroom with refrigerator and hot pot. Tub in nice bathroom. Separate toilet room. Slow internet was fixed when a router was installed in the room, Extensive selections on breakfast, a good value. Quiet, a half block back from busy street with many shops and cafes.

I stayed at Novotel St.Petersburg Centre over the Victory Day weekend, I was lucky to find affordable accommodation. The lobby is super modern, the staff are lovely, the rooms are clean, the location is unbeatable. However, a couple of things that didn't work for me: - the mattress was very uncomfortable, it was thin (10cm at best) and hard; - the toilet is separated from the bathroom and doesn't have a sink or a rubbish bin, which is very annoying. I am not sure if I was given a kids room as the hotel was quite full, perhaps other rooms are better. But I would give this place another chance.
