I stayed alone for 3 days and it was nice. Clean room, informative reception lady. I'll come back for sure. Also nice place to take a walk around the hotel when you need to relax. The only thing I want to complicate is traffic jams in Saint P

Great classical first class hotel with old fashion style and quality of service. As a frequfnt Resorttrotter and a quite demanding one there is nothing not satisfactory about this hotel. Staff, service, room, restaurant, bar and spa are topnitch! If I should be forced to say something negative at all it would be that despite lovely breakfast buffet and service the egg benedict was not the bedt I have had (and thfn you understand that there is very little to complain about)!

Having looked up the great reviews and the menu for high tea at the tea room last week I decided to book it as a gift for my mother and her friend. As per website the Tsar Tea Time (2900 pp) includes: Moet Chandon Imperial + choice of tea or beverage + assorted finger foods + blinis + pastries. On arrival my mother was informed that High Tea for 2 has 1 GLASS OF CHAMPAGNE TO SHARE (are you suggesting two grownups take turns to sip, really?). The rest is at 2100 per glass. The platter with finger foods came for 1, then the staff remembered to bring the second one. All this with comments that they no longer have the Tsar Tea time (btw - it still is online as I write this review + this is what I booked when calling last week - Tsar Tea for 2). Utterly unprofessional and embarrassing for a luxury chain.

This is our first visit to St Petersburg and the first to Russia, but not the last of many many different Four Seasons hotels we have stayed at - and it has to be one of the best hotels we have ever stayed in, second only perhaps to the two FS Maldives resorts abs without a doubt the best non-resort hotel we have experienced by a country mile. The hotel ticks more boxes than any other city hotel - location is perfect, it’s in a stunning former private palace, has two exceptional restaurants along with flawless personal service accross the board with everyone we encountered and to a level and consistency I’ve not seen before. A couple of tips: * Don’t bother booking the airport fast track, it’s expensive and useless. But the hotel meet and greet is excellent and our driver gave us a good intro to the sights and city on the way to the hotel. * The hotel restaurants are a must try and Xander bar is a great hang out. * Concierge have great recommendations on food and general suggestions for your itinerary - and we had a great guide booked through the hotel. * Uber Lux was a great way to travel about (a fraction of the cost of the hotel service and a nice modern 7 series or S class to safely take you about). I’m not sure we’ll be back as we’ve seen the sights, but if we do it will only be to stay at this wonderful property again.
