I stayed before in Belmont St Petersburg ( former Europe) and it was my favourite place before I stayed at Four Seasons. The advantages are perfectly working AC, specious rooms, bathrooms, interior decorations, pool. However if you care to much about quality of breakfast , then I recommend to stay at the Europa for. a divine breakfast

We arrived via Sapsan from Moscow late on a weekday evening. Arriving at the hotel by car, about a 12 minute ride, we were greeted at the door, and our luggage promptly taken by the porter. Warmly greeted at the front desk, check in took no time at all, and we were pleasantly surprised with an upgrade to a very large and spacious premier room. The room is beautifully, elegantly decorated, in blue and yellow pastel hues. separate hallway, 2 large double beds, closets and dressing area, and large bathroom with separate toilet and shower. Very high ceilings, and a fully functioning air conditioning system. Copious amounts of bottled mineral water supplied, and this was replenished everyday. Nespresso machine, generous selection of coffees and teas and a kettle completed the set up. Glasses were sparkling. Absolutely nothing was lacking. There were even welcome gifts of mixed nuts at the mini bar! We also had a welcome treat of cupcakes, a bottle of sparkling water and a handwritten welcome note. Bathroom was sparkling clean, generous amount of toiletries, complete with a professional babyliss hairdryer! I have great hatred of weak useless hotel hairdryers. We were given a room quite far from the lifts, but it was very quiet and afforded very good nights’ sleep. Bed was so comfortable. Fluffy pillows and duvet, well ironed crisp sheets. Housekeeping is simply exemplary. Standards are kept every single day. No slip ups, no inconsistencies. A good test for me is always to use the glasses. Many hotels, even 5 star luxury ones, may take them away, but forget to replace them. Not here. Clean, crisp floor mats were always laid by the bedside, slippers lined up just so. It’s a joy to return to a properly turned down room. Nice touch with the cards, providing something to read about the famous monuments in the city, propped up by the bedside. We were there a total of 4 nights, and these cards were never repeated. We had breakfast at the tea lounge, and the spread is definitely far from average. Roast beef for breakfast, different types of fresh juice, eggs cooked to your liking and attentiveness of staff is second to none. Used sugar packets, used glasses, cups and cutlery were discreetly swept away, with new ones promptly provided. We ended the day’s sightseeing with a drink at Xander’s bar. It’s a lovely space, and a great place to just sit with a glass of their delicious cocktails. They have a map of cocktails, each place of interest on the map has a cocktail created for it. My only regret is that I only managed to sample 3. We had dinner at Percorso one evening, at a table overlooking the cathedral. Fantastic Italian food, tuna tartare prepared tableside. We only used the concierge on one occasion, and he was able to get us a window seat overlooking St Isaac’s Cathedral at an incredibly popular restaurant, and at relatively short notice. I’m fussy about hotels, and there’s a certain standard of which I would expect of a Four Seasons. We were also at a Four Seasons in Moscow, and it was nowhere as good as this one. I have to say, this could possibly be the best one I’ve stayed in. Faultless, flawless... I would return in a heartbeat!

The Four Seasons is an absolutely beautiful hotel & the rooms are beautifully appointed & incredibly spacious. Also, the staff is exceptional. They are friendly, attentive, & will assist you with any need. They will book shows for you, organize tours, translate documents, etc, etc etc. I have to make special mention of Olga, the concierge. She assisted us tremendously before we even arrived (in obtaining the documents we needed from the hotel to obtain our visas), and then after we arrived on premises, with obtaining show tickets, restaurant recommendations, a lovely boat tour with a tour guide, as well as organizing any kind of transportation we needed. Thank you, Olga! We would definitely highly recommend staying at this hotel. It truly is exceptional, in every way.
