The room we stayed in was modern and had all facilities. The only negative was bad workmanship on the shower glass wall meant that water leaked onto the tiled bathroom floor. The breakfast is adequate in terms of volume but could be improved in terms of quality. The menu for the restaurant does not have an English translation but is...

The point of this hotel is price and Good location! The hotel is really old and need refurbishment! I've been in a superior room, the bathroom is perfect but... Whats up with the bed!? The staff doesn't speak English... And it was in some cases so hard to understand! If it's possible avoid the breakfast!

Receptionist in hotel front desk could not speak any single word of English? I got a room inside temperature was +27, moisty tropical atmosphere i truly ignored. I got a key to new room and left accidentally my gloves to front desk, room was the same and my belongings disapeared when arrived back. This hotel is far away any western...

I stayed at the Russ Hotel for 4 days. By far, this is the worst hotel I have ever stayed in. The reception area is ok and the staff were friendly. The receptionist took my passport, charged me extra 300 rubbles for registration and said she had to hold my passport for 2 hours for registration. When I came back...

Hotel "Rus" (not Russ!) has been built in the last years of the Soviet period (so it is not SO old) and its architecture is late Soviet postmodernism. It is rather untouched from the inside so the lobby and the lifts and the restaurant are great specimens of architectural history (but esthetically quite unappealing). The rooms have been refreshened and...

This hotel is huge, but very old. The corridors are very dingy, the elevators are jolty and quite scary to use! Most of the rooms are really old - we were first placed on the 4th floor, and then asked to be moved the next day because a rubbish truck came in the middle of the night to pick up...

I stayed a few weeks in St. Petersburg at the Arbat Nord hotel across the street, who had warned me upon reservation that one night was absolutely not available for me. Hence that I had to sleep that one night at Russ Hotel. The reception area / lobby is awful, and the elevators are quite frightening and make you wonder...

I stayed at the Russ Hotel recently for three nights with a friend. The hotel was clean and simple, but the rooms became very hot and were difficult to cool down. Breakfast was a good variety. Location is ok - a bit of a walk to places, but for the price was ok.

We visit St.Pt on regular basis. This time we had to stay at RUSS-hotel. The only good thing about this hotel is location - walking distance to practically all tourist places, etc. The rest - amenities, services, stuff attitude, restaurant - like in USSR. It appears this hotel is used by tourist groups from different parts of Russia, where leaving...
