This hotel is so closed to city center as well as Nevski Square. The checkin was so fast to do and the room I stayed merely 4 nights was excellent. I used to find the whole accessories I found. The breakfast was excellent despite of the fact that it costs very cheap for tourists. The personnel were so nice and they helped you whatever you need. The wifi connection was so fast to get Net and other services. Thanks for everything.
I stayed at Corinthia St.Petersburg during the Victory Day weekend in a standard twin room on the 5th floor. The room was relatively small, but it was spotlessly cleaned and had everything necessary for the stay (tea pot, cups, etc). I especially loved their bathroom design and bidet (not many hotels offer this amenity in a small space). Few years ago I stayed at an executive room, it was lavish, but the standard room this time was also good. The breakfast was crowded, but the staff were very efficient and friendly, the choice was plentiful. I will definitely be back.
All the usual, fully controllable a/c, mini-bar, safe (although not laptop sized) flat screen TV with English language news stations of all political persuasion from CNN to RT (Russian Television) to BBC. All any non-supporter of Trump could want. Outstanding breakfast buffet with smoked salmon, crepes and everything else. Ice on request through room service. Turn right out of the hotel to the corner, right again and just past the Metro station is a high end 7-11 type store for any basics. Opening Uber on your phone leads you to Y.Taxi app download. You can still get to Uber but you have to type in the www. before uber.com. I took the easy way out and used Y.Taxi which worked fine. They have Basic, Comfort +, Comfort ++ and Business cars.
The location is superb, right on Nevsky Prospect. It is very convenient to get around. The rooms are clean and somewhat spacious. Breakfast is lovely. Beautiful lobby. The service is first class. A big shout up to the guest relations staff.
Because of Evgenia Abramovna, the concierge during my four-day stay at the Corinthia, I will now only stay at the Corinthia whenever I visit St. Petersburg. Her level of competency, efficiency, dedication, professionalism, and attentiveness is beyond the best concierges that I have experienced, even exceeding those at five-star hotels like the Four Seasons, Aman, and St. Regis groups, which I regularly stay at. And I didn't even stay in a suite--just a regular room, which made me even more impressed by her. The main reason for my amazement is this: my luggage was lost at the airport and was not sent the next day as was promised by Finnair. Evgenia called them every hour after she discovered that the bag was missing and there was a discrepancy in the system for which both the airport baggage staff and Finnair were unable to account for. She even made calls to both parties at 2 am and 5 am, texting me frequently throughout to keep me updated, with her personal phone. This was when she was off-duty, by the way. Eventually, she called so many times that the manager of Finnair personally called her because he had heard from his staff of her persistence. She was able to find out that St. Petersburg airport’s baggage services database had failed and was suffering from a backlog of hundreds of missing suitcases, among which was mine. Due to this build-up, the staff had been unable to identify, register, and dispatch the missing luggage. Evgenia insisted on going to the airport herself, somehow convinced the staff there to let her into storage (who also were able to identify her voice because of her many calls), and retrieved my suitcase. She then brought it back to the hotel. If it had not been for her steadfastness, I would have had to fly back to London without my suitcase, which would have stayed indefinitely in St. Petersburg, and I wouldn't have even known that it was still there. Apart from that incident, Evgenia also was a logistical mastermind, securing a wonderful tour guide, Anthony, for us at 11pm at night for the next day at 10am, and we never had a hard time locating the hotel cars because she acted as the liason between us and the drivers, texting us minutes before he arrived, and even keeping track of our appointments so that the car was already on the way before we even informed her to dispatch one for pick-up. She is an absolute treasure and is sure to go very far because of her intuitive gift for understanding people. They say that hospitality is welcoming a stranger and treating them as though they were your own, and that is exactly how I felt with the emotionally touching service that Evgenia provided us. She treated us as though we were family, and I will never forget the beautiful trip I had in St. Petersburg because of the constant care that Evgenia gave us.…
