We've had a very pleasant stay at the hotel. Room was spacious with many extras, breakfast was excellent (even on the 10th day), and the staff was friendly and most efficient. We've also enjoyed the hotel's atmosphere as well as its great location close to many historical and cultural attractions at walking distance.
Really really nice hotel in the heart of st Petersburg . Loved the service , design , feel , lobby , suites , attention and care from staff . Everything was top notch , perhaps a bigger spa and gym would be nice but other than that a very very good classy stylish hotel .
Everything was excellent:very comfortable bed, spacious bathroom and beautiful interiors of the hotel. New Year trees and Christmas decorations made an atmosphere of magic. it was great to have a glass of champagne in Lobby bar with live music. Personnel was always kind and helpful. and the location of the hotel is absolutely fantastic- in the heart of the city and just a step away from Russian Museum, Kazanskiy cathedral and Nevskiy. We're looking forward to visit again!
A very calm and luxurious place, wonderfully located near the Russian and Ermitage Museums. Gorgeous breakfast and very chic atmosphere without any fuss. We also appreciated the picture exhibitions in the lobbies and the overall beauty of the interior fittings of the hotel.
The staff at the Hotel Europe was exceptional and attentive to our needs. The hotel has a rich history, but also with a fresh and modern feel. It does not feel old or dusty! It has an unparalleled St Pete location
Value for money, good 5 stars in the very center of StPetersburg. Service and interiors are real 5 stars by my opinion. Bottle of good champagne and chocolates as a birthday gift right to the room - it was a real pleasure and beyond my expectations SPA / gym are very good too by the way Extremely nice location (lots of caffes/restaraunts, places must to visit around)
It’s a legendary Hotel in St Petersburg, which is nearly 150 years old. And you can definitely feel the energy of the great history of this place. Rooms are comfortable and tidy. Breakfast choice is pretty good, I would only recommend to introduce more healthy options (vegan, gluten and dairy free). Service is also at the level. In summer season they serve it in a large room of Europe Restaurant. You can enjoy it accompanied by piano music and beautiful panneaus on the wall. Concierge service is excellent. They even organise guided 30-mins tours around the hotel building and adjacent Arts Square as a compliment for the guests. We learned lots of interesting facts about the hotel’s history and the city itself. A very appreciated initiative! The hotel’s location is very good, easy to reach the most important monuments by foot. Personally I love staying in historic hotels and would definitely be back in Grand Hotel Europe next time I am in town.…
We stayed here with my son and daughter-in-law for just 3 days, and we all loved the place. Conveniently located in a cozy quiet spot in the very center of tourist attractions, this hotel is an amazing fusion of latter-day facilities and old-school dignity, impeccable service and warm and friendly atmosphere. Make sure to stop by at the fabulous art nouveau L'Europe restaurant, at least for breakfast if your tight program doesn’t allow for more – the choice will surpass any perfectionist’s expectations. A delicious caviar-and-bliny breakfast to live piano music - Chopin, Sinatra, Glenn Miller – isn’t that a promising start of a good day?)) Proud history with no trace of new-money arrogance. Classy and grand – the Grand hotel Europe.
"Grand Hotel Europe" (until 1991 - the hotel "European"), is located in the very center of St. Petersburg, on Mikhailovskaya street. The first buildings on this site were built at the end of the 18th century. In the years 1826-1830, the houses were rebuilt according to the project of C. I. Rossi. Then the appearance of buildings changed many times. In 1950, restoration work was carried out at the hotel, during which the facade overlooking Nevsky Prospekt was decorated in the style of C. I. Rossi. In 2005-2008, the last stage of the hotel's reconstruction was carried out, and already on November 8, 2009, at the World Travel Awards ceremony (London), the Grand Hotel Europe was named the most luxurious hotel in Europe and the world. Great service. I would like to especially mention the concierge service. Cozy clean rooms. Excellent breakfasts. Would like to come back here!…
Enjoy your stay with Grand Hotel Europe. Food is great. Life music. Luxury interior. Good location. Nice view from the window. Comfortable beds. Friendly staff. Super cool bathroom and plumbing. Pleasant odor.
