Great location, short walk from some of the main attractions in the city, the hotel also has the best view of St Isac's cathedral (make sure you get a room view a view). If you are a literary buff, might be interesting to know that in one of the rooms Sergey Esenin died... There is a nice cafe attached to...

I have been there for 3 nights; location is quite nice, close to the Nevsky Prospekt. The rooms are a bit cold and old fashioned decorated but the staff are really nice. I specially like the restaurant part and the variety of breakfast ;)

My wife and I have just had six wonderful days in St Petersburg. We travelled with Kirker (who were very good) and selected the Hotel Angleterre as our base. It is in a superb position, directly opposite the awe-inspiring St Isaac's Cathedral, 10 minutes walk from the Winter Palace/ Hermitage/ General Staff museums, 10 minutes the other way from the...

Couldn't fault this hotel at all. Booked us a city tour and when it turned out not quite right we were given extra tickets ( for the General Staff Building which we'd missed from the Hermitage) immediately no fuss. Don't miss the Gen Staff btw it's wonderful! Our room was modern clean and comfortable, breakfasts were fab and the hot...

We loved the view of St Isaac Cathedral from our room window - particularly lovely at night. The room was well lit and comfortable and provided for all our needs. We enjoyed our breakfast choices and we had a delicious pizza lunch in the hotel restaurant. This was one of the better hotels on our Globus Scandinavia/Russia tour.

This hotel has oldwordly charm. Very well located. Just a short walk from the main artery that has all the major shopping, and shopping centres in the area. We were welcomed in typical Russian fashion with Russian hats, music, and bread with salt. This hotel has well appointed rooms, good food, and champagne with breakfast. What can a girl want...

The Angleterre Hotel is a nice, historical property, with a contemporary interior located right in the heart of the historical centre of the city and close to all the sights (directly opposite St. Isaac's Cathedral), shops and restaurants. The reception staff are polite and speak very good English as do the waiting staff and all of them are keen to...

The hotel is very well located in the heart of St Petersburg, within easy walking distance of most central attractions, including the Hermitage and the bottom end of Nevsky Prospect, and a short distance from the Metro at Admiralteskaya. The rooms are small and minimally furnished in art nouveau style, which may not be to everyone's taste. Those looking for...
