We were fooled by the reviews about this hotel, as it was conveniently located in the center of Moscow, but little did we know: The hotel has no lift. The rooms stink. The sheets were stained. It looks like a haunted mansion.

Excellent location, only 300m from Red Square. Room was ok with big and comfy bed, bathrom small but functional. Hotel is on 4th floor and there is no elevator (old building). Two bottles of water in room for free.

The good: 1. Located very close to the Pushkin Square, close to all major tourist attractions. 2. Compact but clean rooms. The Bad: 1. Very difficult to locate, has a shared entrance which requires a password to enter, and is almost impossible to post because there are absolutely no signage. To make matters worse, nobody in the area will be...

Hotel is walking distance from the Red Square. Our family room was surprisingly big and had an AC. Tea/Coffee could be obtained by informing the staff member at the reception. In fact, a special mention needs to be made about the staff member called Fanil, who was manning the reception. I had not received my train tickets from Moscow to...

While the location is good and the room is spotless but I wouldn't recommend this place to a friend. Upon the first night, the air condition in our room wasn't working. We told them the next morning and came back at night to found out that it wasn't fixed. Staff couldn't do anything with the problem and told us to...

Location was perfect. Just few meters from the red square.Very friendly and helpful. On the Main Street. Comfortable bed, powerful and modern walk-in shower, clean room. We were upgraded to a standard room - a nice surprise. Front desk is a 4 floor walk upstairs. Would stay again.

Hotel is greatly located, only one block away from red square. However it is very difficult to find even for taxi drivers. The personnel is ready to help although their english is not great. Two drawbacks are: creepy entrance and no lift (4 floors up with your luggage). Rooms are comfortable.

Room was spacious, very clean and nice looking, bathroom modern and very clean. The price is very good for the great location...

Staying in Tverskaya

Neighborhood Profile
Tverskaya
Tverskaya can’t be discovered with just a first glance, the neighborhood is shaped around a long street populated with well-known shops and brands. But it’s more than shopping that makes this place interesting. Take a few steps into the streets running parallel to the main artery to discover the charm just behind the mighty Stalinist style architecture. Comfy European pedestrian streets Bolshaya Dmitrovka or Stoleshnikov lane are a great place to start. Locals can be found here working, eating, shopping, resting and going to the Bolshoi Theatre in the evening.
