On Lenivka, near the corner of Volkhonka, the only street signage is a small sign saying "Apt 2". We were met by the concierge who signed us in and gave us the keys and then we never saw her again. Very secure with 2 locked doors between the street and the rooms (opened with a magnetic "key"). There are motion...

I stayed here for 4 nights. Located just a few steps away from the Pushkin Museum and the Christ the Saviour Cathedral and a 5 minute walk from the kremlin, this is the perfect place to explore the city. Adding spotlessly clean, cozy appartments with a fully equiped kitchen and the most helpfull, english speaking staff you could think off...

I've been there for two nights and found it a very good choice. Very well located in the center, not very expensive. If your looking for service forget it, this is just are apartments or bedrooms in a normal residential building with no reception or any other services.

I stayed here for four nights during the last week of December and paid appr. $50/night. This is a small hotel (5 or 6 rooms total) located a couple blocks from the Pushkin Museum and the huge Cathedral of Christ the Savior; the entrance to the Kremlin is a manageable 15-minute walk. Several good restaurants nearby; the cafe across the...

I had the studio apartment, which you can have as a double or twins, plus a sofa bed. It was light and airy and spacious. The bed was comfortable. The apartment looked out over the road but was not noisy. In addition to the sofa there were two chairs and two breakfast bar stools. The kitchenette had microwave, fridge, kettle,...

Apart from the small problems of finding this place, this is the ideal solution for real travellers to Moscow. Location, price, cleanliness, the helpful concierge and the whole idea of the place. Basic, but great. No luxury here, but that makes it even more enjoyable. Finding the way to the Red Square from here wasn't easy, though. You really have...

Stayed at Lenivka recently as a solo traveller, and would recommend. The apartments are basic, although they do have wifi, tv, microwave and a kettle - and they are spotless too! The only downside is that the outside noise insulation doesn't seem great, so if you have an outside-facing room it can get a bit too loud.

Staying in Khamovniki

Neighborhood Profile
Khamovniki
Khamovniki could be considered a city of its own – here it’s possible to find some of Moscow’s most important cultural institutions such as the Pushkin State Museum of Fine Arts, the Novodevichy Convent and Trubetskikh Estate, great sport locations such as Luzhniki stadium and aqua complex, and long and beautiful Luzhniki embankment. Pick your preferred form of transport to explore the area – bicycle or river cruise during the summer and taxi in winter as many of the great places are situated beyond a short walk.
