Pretty good place to stay. Calm, warm and clean. Hotel provided cot for my 1.5 year old daughter. It was in good condition. To be honest didn't expected that. Good choice of restaurants around. Location is perfect. This one is best so far in this area for that value from what we tried before.

Stayed here for two nights in a weekend break to Moscow. Quite funny hotel in the style of what you expect from a Russian hotel. The rooms are big which great beds and nice facilities. We did not use the breakfast or dining facilities, it was just our home for sleeping and that worked perfectly!

A lovely hotel only a short walk (15-20 mins) from Red Square. There is also the metro close by which is handy for travelling to other areas of the city or for getting back from the centre if you are to tired to walk back at the end of a long day sightseeing. On arriving at the hotel we were... More

We stayed three nights at the Marco Polo Presnya in October. Overall, we were pleased. The hotel we came from in St. Petersburg was extremely modern so we definitely needed to adjust to this boutique hotel experience, but it was fine. We arrived early in the day, but the staff was able to get a room ready for us by... More

Charming old classic Russian style. Lovely redone bathrooms. Nice gym though since I walked 8 to 10 miles according to my fit bit, I did not make it to the gym. Buffet was sumptuous, traditional food, things any American would like as well, fresh fruit, etc. Omelette station even. Wonderful location, near a park, 10 minute walk to Red Square... More

I stayed a few place s in Russia and this was my favorite! Building is older but has real character, the trees in front are a real bonus in the concrete city landscape. They speak lots of English which really helped me. Very friendly service

Booked 4 rooms here in August and enjoyed every minute. The location is about a 20 min walk to the Kremlin and Central Moscow, there is a great little shop over the road that sells almost everything. The rooms were large and clean with excellent bathrooms. Breakfast was served in a large dining room and the variety was excellent. Reception... More

Stayed there for a couple of nights in September. Nice location, close to a lot of cafes and restaurants. Tverskaya st, a major tourist street is near. Hotel offers parking which is big plus in Moscow center. Was given a DeLux room as a compliment. It had two rooms, though quite small. Interior of rooms is a bit "used" but... More

Staying in Patriarch Ponds

Neighborhood Profile
Patriarch Ponds
When you need to hide from the city’s noise and traffic but don’t want to stroll too far, Patriarch Ponds is the place to be. Calm water, friendly swans and ducks with beautiful early 20th century architecture in the background make this neighborhood a place you’ll never want to leave. Besides stylish bars and restaurants scattered in the streets around the pond, you’ll be able to enjoy museum life from modern art to a former private apartment of Mikhail Bulgakov. As most of the businesses are open late, stop for a cocktail and then stroll by the pond to rent a boat and row yourself to the middle of the “bowl” as the locals call it.
