This hotel was selected by the tour company I used when visiting Moscow. The hotel was built for the XXII Olympic Games in 1980. The hotel is just a few metro stops from the center of Moscow. The hotel is very large. Our guide checked us all in so I didn't have to deal with the front desk. The rooms...

Accommodations were much better than what I was expecting for the price. Easy walk to the metro, and plenty of 24 hour money exchange places, food, and pharmacies nearby. Restaurants were on site, but we didn't eat at them, though we did get food from the cafe, which was good. Walls are a little thin and rooms are a little...

We were booked into this hotel as part of a tour, and overall were very happy with the experience. The hotel was extremely clean, the shower was piping hot and the water plentiful, and the room was quiet except for a tolerable level of street noise. Breakfast buffet was included in our package and was more than adequate. While very...

The staff is not friendly at all and seem to speak very little English, but maybe they don't get many Americans there. All of Moscow seemed that way. Checkin is very slow - makes you wonder what all they had to discuss about you with the person on the other end of the phone when you check in and "show...

I was booked into this hotel as part of a tour. It is not the type of place I'd choose for myself, for two reasons. One is location. It was 5 metro stops from the city center, and Two, was the quality. It was slightly below my personal standard, but generally ok. A lot of foreign tourists as well as...

I stayed here many times. As far as finding a good priced hotel in Moscow goes, this is probably the best option. Don't take the cheap rooms, take business rooms which are renovated. It's a good 3 star hotel. You might encounter problems such as the staff not speaking English. Some staff speak perfect English, some don't know a word...

I spent 3 nights in Izmailovo Vega Hotel. I chose this hotel because of location near Metro and best prices compared with other budget hotel. When I checked in, they could make hotel registration in one hour. Staff could speak some English but we couldn't expect nice smile frrom them. There were security guards to check key card before entering...

Caught the train from the airport to the Metro system. Beware, a lot of the metro stations don't have escalators and with heavy luggage can be heart attack inducing. The hotel is conveniently located near the metro and the lobby is modern and inviting. I met up with a Russian friend who checked us in so can't comment on the...

The hotel was located in a convenient location to restaurants. It was a drive to Moscow center because of traffic, but typical of Moscow. The room was clean and normal size western style hotel room. Clean bedding, nice bathroom. The only problem was the language barrier. Checking in was ok, but when they took our passports and they couldn't explain...

After reading all the previous reviews I was pleasantly surprised. I stayed at this hotel during an organised tour of Russia. We were so busy that all you needed at night was a comfortable bed. The reception area, buffet breakfast, water coolers on every floor and comfortable bed was the highlight of my stay at the hotel.
