The hotel has just one thing working for it, location. After that the experience is downhill. This hotel is in desperate need of an upgrade, the staff was quite in-hospitable to non Russian speaking guests. There was no concierge the entire time I stayed. Also the whole guest floor have a old place smell. It is a like a time... More

This was my second stay both time it was booked by other people. The president hotel is extremely dated. The bathroom had loads of black hair in clumps all over the floor. I called for room service and was met by a grunt and a guy who had no interest in being helpful or friendly in any way. The room... More

We stayed here as part of a train holiday from London to Hong Kong. The hotel is an imposing style with great security- probably a reason why it's favoured by Russian officials. A 10 minute walk to the nearest Metro and the main street that it's sited on is undergoing some extensive re-vamp. Bedrooms were gigantic and endowed with chandeliers.... More

This hotel has 5 star qualities but is far cheaper than average Moscow hotel, perhaps because is Government run/subsidized (a guess). Also centrally located next to nice park. Great place to economically see Moscow on personal travel with limited budget. Nice outdoor eating area.

In the last week of January 2016 I stayed three nights in the President Hotel in Moscow. This is a huge hotel with many rooms but unfortunately it was just sparsely occupied when I was staying there. The rooms are nice but not too big and in particular the rooms on the back have a wonderful view overlooking the river... More

...the first and last one. This is an "old times", very worn hotel. Guests are allowed to smoke everywhere. Even the "non smoking" rooms are uninhabitable, since everybody smokes everywhere. Incentives and other events are taking place almost every day, it becomes loud and embarrassing. The only good thing here is the breakfast.

We stayed for 3 nights. The suite was really huge with two bathrooms. It was clean. The entire hotel is dated. Front desk service was okay. The dinner choice for vegetarians at Assembly restaurant (top floor) was very poor. Buffet breakfast had a good spread. Hotel is centrally located. View of the Moscow river and the statue is amazing. It... More

This hotel is clearly still under government control and most people staying here were clearly on government business. The positive side of that is excellent security. However once on the inside the dustiness of the system is hard to shake off. It's all a little dark and gloomy. The rooms are decent sized and you must try and get rooms... More

I arrived late at night and left first thing so it's hard to be too knowledgeable about all the hotels services. But as soon as I arrived I was struck by the old school soviet feel. It is undoubtedly a good hotel but needs a lot of attention. The clacking Parquet flooring under the worn carpet and the 1960s light... More

Stuck in " Soviet " time , but on excelent location. This hotel remind me on movie " shining " , big corridors , big rooms with excelent view...but little bit scary :) Refrigirator in room can be loud , since is 20-25years old. Rooms are clean but designe is not changed since Soviet time, together with the smell. Excelent... More
